3" to 2.5" exhaust reducer/ step down to keep stock resonator

I am installing 2m LT's this weekend and was curious to what step down/reducers you all got. The local shop can make it for me but I had a couple of questions.

1. The 3" side of the reducer needs to be "flanged" correct? As the end of the LT elbow is not and is smooth and exactly 3"?

2. When keeping the stock resonator is there a clamp there I remove and unhook or am I cutting to keep the stock resonator? If cutting I assume it would then be a smooth 2.5" and both ends of the reducer would need to flanged?

Never taken this stock mid pipe out so just wanna make sure I have the right connecting piece come Saturday.

I can have the shop make it in 10 minutes. Just needs to know which side needs to be slightly larger than 3 or 2.5 for the flanges..
