^^^Yes, that's right. And don't forget that the car probably performs a bit better on 93 octane...yea I know, some of you Dudes are about to throw the "BS flag" on that claim of slightly better performance with 93... But this Old Dude believes it is so!

the ECU has been reprogrammed with adaptive-knock spark control. If the two knock sensors embedded in the cylinder block don’t hear knocking, the ECU will keep advancing the spark until it does.
I have been getting per the trip meter 26.8 mpg over the last 7k miles running 87 octane.

Just for fun lets say 93 octane nets 2 mpg over 87 octane mpg and average fill-up is 12 gallons. Gas prices from my area. Running 93 costs $7.92 more per fill-up. I can buy an extra 3.7 gallons of 87 with $7.92.

87 $2.15 x 12 = $ 25.80 x 26.8 mpg = 321.6 miles
93 $2.81 x 12 = $ 33.72 x 28.8 mpg = 345.6 miles
87 $2.15 x 15.7 = $ 33.72 x 26.8 mpg = 420 miles

I'll take the extra miles per dollar vs the small bump in performance (5-10 hp). Which most butt dynos won't detect due to calibration differences.:headbonk:

How the heck are people even getting at or above 24mpg. I baby my throttle, 1500-2000rpm to reach 25-30mph in city. If I do pure city driving I'll be below 13mpg. With city and highway combined the highest I've gotten 22.5mpg with 93 octane. Using 87 octane I've gotten close to 20mpg. What is city driving outside the greater NY area because I want it.

I must have gotten a good one to begin with, but my 3.7 gets great mileage after I changed to Royal Purple, dropped in a K&N air filter, inflated tires to max pressure, and always fill up with 93 octane. My 2015 Cyclone Pony gets better mileage than my friend's 2015 EB Pony...and he is upset and befuddled by that. I just find that funny.
