Hey everyone I currently have 3.1s stock but I was curious what would be better 3.55 or 3.73 for an auto?I had ordered 3.55 with my retail order but ended up buying my gt premium from a local dealer after got tired of waiting and it came with 3.1 rear. I had 4.10s on my 08 gt auto and liked it but my dad drives the mustang as well and he hated the 4.10s, he felt they skipped gears. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

3.55's. The 1st is so low that 3.73's put it pretty steep and very very short pull in 1st.

Keep in mind that 3.55's in the auto, in combination with the transmission ratios, make it in effect quite a bit shorter, closer to 4.10's than anything.

Are you planning on tracking the car at all? Or just hwy cruising?

Depends on if using the drag strip, if so I would go 373.Bet it would come out the hole nasty with some tires on it.
