***ISSUE SOLVED*** There is a SMALL round Toner Ring ( google has no pics nor does ford) It is a super small flat ring with 3 pegs that sits on the half shaft between the Hub bearing assembly. No documentation it, ford dealer could not even find the issue. After comparing the left to right side and looking at the FORscan DTC codes we found the driver side didn't have the ring. It broke off, so the issue was the computer reading the passenger side but not the driver causing a error.

Hello everyone. I have a 2015 Mustang GT with a Paxton 2200SL I recently blew out my Diff bearings etc so I picked up a full 3.31 housing and installed it. I re-programmed the BCM using FORscan. I changed Line 0726-12-01 to 014B 087B ( 3.31 gears and the Hex for my tire size).

I then forced the PCM to learn the new values of the BCM everything was accepted and the P160A error was removed meaning the PCM and BCM are now both seeing the valid information BUT as soon as i start driving my speedometer as a weird tick and it has caused my ABS, Traction Control, AdvancedTrac, Hill Assist Start etc all to flash. My dash is light up like a Christmas Tree..I have spent two weeks trying to figure it out:frusty::frusty:

I have heard from a few people to buy the Whipple Flare Tool I REALLY don't wanna spend $275 for something I use one time, and does the same thing FORscan can do. can ANYONE help with this issue driving around in Las Vegas with no traction control and no ABS has already caused me issues really need a fix :(:(

Here is a Video AFTER i clear all the codes.

Hi, did you happen to get the part number for this tone ring? I am having the same issue I replaced the left rear hub and found the ring chewed up and need a replacement.

I take it this is an auto thing? I have replaced everything multiple times and never had this issue.

Absolutely HORRIBLE drawing BUT this little crush washer is stamped steel it’s SUPER thin and flimsy. It sits on the end of the halfshaft where the Rear Hub assembly sits these sometimes fall into pieces after you take off the rear hub.
This ring uses the 3 black fins as a “ magnetic strip” for l the ABS/Speed Sensor that goes into hub. If you go to ford dealer parts department and ask them To bring up the parts for the rear end it will take some search but you will find it. That’s what I did on my 2015. As soon as I replaced this little ring everything was fixed.

I just want to say a big thank you to the posters. I just bought a 15’ GT with this problem. Searching the net brought me here and this great info! I went to Ford, ordered the part, installed today. Problem fixed.t wanted to add a picture of the one I changed out. It was a little more bent than it is in the pic, plus when we seperated the bearing from half shaft, it fell and rollled under the car. So you got to keep an eye out for it or atleast we did. Installed the new one and problem was fixed

I'm not sure why there is all the talk about FORscan or Whipple flare tool. I just swapped from 3.15 trak lok to 3.55 Torsen diff housing and didn't do anything. Zero issues whatsoever. I am Lund tuned also, btw.

I had the same issue but after reading some post here, I started by changing the Rear ABS Speed Sensor. That didn't work, so I replaced both rear wheel hubs. When I took the left hub off, I found the ring between the hud and axle was destroyed but the right was fine. I didn't replace the left or reinstall the right but all the light went off and everything is functioning as they should.

That ring has nothing to do with the speed sensor. The speed sensor has it's own reluctor ring on the hub built into the bearing. sensor rings have lots of teeth, not just 3. Is it coincidence something else is going while those parts are worked on? Maybe. I've looked into this as recently did dss axles and the traction control isn't as responsive, but come to find out the computer just doesn't know how to pull enough power when flogging 750+ on the stock tires. Throw the mickey's on and traction control works wonderfully. BTW those little rings on the stock axles stayed on the stockers, and nothing went on the dss's. No lights or anything with them completely removed.

That rings sole purpose in life is to keep the knuckle from seizing onto the abs hub..thats it. Otherwise you destroy the hub removing it with anything other than the proper tools

Had the same issue, replace both hubs and ABS sensors and toner ring and the issue remains the same... any one else this didn’t work on?
