So I’m runing a mild setup
Roush Phase II A10/3.15/93 Octane

It’s Roush canned tuned, I don’t expect it to run better than 10.80 in good air because it’s a mild setup compared to a custom tuned setup.

That being said, curious to what race wheels u recommend along with skinnies.

I sold my VMS wheels, there nice but heavy, I didn’t really like them once I got them. I would like to run a race wheel and skinny but with my gearing I’m undecided as to what heights I should run?

I think a 28 DR is too tall for my setup, again I don't think it will trap more than 128mph

Opinions?

My opinion would be to get a custom tune and a torque converter and run like 10.3's@135 with 28 inchers. You had the VMS racing wheel setup and thought it was too heavy? What wheels do you plan on getting? For the frontrunners I would go with the MH racemaster 28 incher frontrunners I think, they are lighter than most but probably not as good on the street as some. I run 28 inchers on the rear and I am NA, but I have 3.55's and I havent tried 26 inchers to compare. 28's fit the wheel well better. My fronts are 26's actually :

I’m not going to pretend like I’m a competitive racer but my experience with 26” rears at 710whp wasn’t great, even on the street the gearing needed to be lengthened. I skipped 28” when I upped the power and have the 315/50/17 29.5” rear and it really helped traction.

at your power level I really think 28” would be best

My car sixties better on a 27 inch
325/35-r18. M/T R tire. Than a 29 inch 305 MT or NTo5R. I have a 3.55 geared car.

Yea I kinda thought a 27 might be the height to run, we shall see, I am on 3.15 but should make decent low end with the PD

I still don’t think a 27” vs a 28” will be a difference at the power level we are at. But that’s just my opinion.

Get a 27”. Then we will bolt my 28” at the rental and see first hand.
That's a good idea. Gotta learn what works best for your particular set up.

I appreciate it

I have a 27.4 DR now, very close to stock height so it would be interesting to see if the 1/2” (28 tire helps

I say, nope it goes slower but who knows, like u guys said its worth try

6R80, 3.15 rear. I chose to run a 25.80" rear DR (315/35/17) for lighter weight, better torque multiplication, and better final gearing.

With the 3.15 gears and A10 tranny, I went with the 26" tires on 17" wheels. The big plus is it allows me to launch in 2nd gear... But the car looks silly... More wheel well than tire!
