My car now has about 900 miles on it and the DA at Brainerd yesterday afternoon was around 2700. I ran 12.47 @ 115. For comparison, 455 HP Camaros were running 12.55-12.65 at 113.

I simply cannot use drag mode. It spins and wheel hops too badly on the 1-2 shift and then the engine falls on its face for about a 1/2 second. I had Advance Track off by holding the toggle up for several seconds but it made no difference. My runs were in Sport mode where the shifts are a bit softer but there is less wheelspin on the shifts and the engine pulls consistently.

I got beaten to the line by an old modifed Chevelle but it was due to my eye, brain and feet not being in sync. My car was a tenth quicker but his reaction time was better.

Having the right tire will all but stop that wheelspin and wheel hop.

I am hooking good off the line but the 1-2 shift is brutal in drag mode. I am going to put my BMR cradle lockout kit on but I do need better traction for sure.

Are you positive you actually saw "Advance Trac Off" message in drag mode? Reason I ask is because in mine no matter how long I hold the toggle, it just switches traction control on and off in drag mode...nothing about advance trac. Foot on/off brake, in park or drive doesn't matter on my car. Only mode I can turn advance trac off is in Track Mode.

Unplug the traction control connector in the engine bay next to your air filter.

That will disable all traction control completely.

Drag mode is a must have!

FWIW, my car's best time in similar DA to you was 12.5@115 in drag mode.

Ive since added Lund Flex tune and the car has gone 11.8@120 in 3000 DA.

Gotta love these 2018s!

BTW... get a good tire on the back... im running MT ET SS and although they spin on the street (no wheel hop) they bite at the track amazing.

If I hold the toggle up for several seconds I get the message that advance track is off. Then I press OK. The "off" symbol then shows in the lower right of the cluster. I suspect it is not fully off, though.

DO NOT disconnect the that sensor .it will disable drag mode/ability to use the line lock ...and car will run slower .

Sorry not true.

I have 30+ passes on my car in every configuration imaginable and the way I describe above is how the car runs fastest.

It does NOT slow the car down.

You have an aftermarket tune on your car .
So you have already "tuned" out the drag mode .

I can 100% assure if you disconnect it on a stock tune car it WILL run slower .
No point arguing about it .... just have the OP try it .

I had about the same outcome when I did the same on my STOCK tune car .
No fake news here. Just the facts !

Rather than trying to disable advance track, I would prefer to reduce the 1-2 wheelspin and wheelhop. I think that is what is causing advance track to kick in. I just have the Pirelli 255/40-19s. I have a pair of 285/35-19 BFG comp2 tires on 10 inch rims that I will try but I am not sure they will be any better.

I am guessing that's why your car went 12.5 stock when everyone else is much faster . LoL
I did things a little backwards and ran my car stock(non stock wheels but stock tires ) finally .
12.1@118
Toggle switches to turn off advance trac .
Drag mode after and not before or it turns it off (back on)
Shifter in D is faster than S which is where I left it when I ran 12.3 on drag radials in the back .
Leaving at 1800 works better than footbraking past 2000 rpm .

60 ft with stock tire was same as with a drag radial-using wrong launch technique -1.90 range .

The PS4 that come with the PP certainly make a difference.
Only suspension mod is the CB005 and I had ZER0 wheel hop or spin on the stock tire .

I did not do any better with drag radials . I am sure I will need the drag radials once I have a whipple tune .
