I really hate that this happened however I am VERY interested in what happened and what failed. Outside of the cams his recipe of mods is about what everyone is doing to get around 1000rwhp. And was pretty close to what i was planning on doing so i want to know what failed and why.

My money says it was the fuel system setup he was using. I don’t know what he used, but I bet it got too lean then it went boom.

I haven't really followed the fuel system setup but was under the impression the stock system would handle (with injectors/fuel rail), and then would think PBD would know better so i am confused.

There is conflicting information, and i have been to busy to stay up on it

1 possibilty is he didnt have enough fuel pump. As we all know, colder denser air requires more fuel. so his tune was spot on for what he had, but on a day like it looks like that day was, he ran out of pump and went lean, or too low volume and lean

he had the car apart and balancers were removed, and reinstalled, as well as the only car with cams, balancers coming loose or improper install has been common on all the coyote variants so its plausible

either way, i dont know the actual cause
