Well proof is in the pudding right? the 275 (same brand as the 305) outperformed the 305 in every way imaginable. That little bit of bulge with the 305 was definitely detrimental to the overall handling, braking, and acceleration on my car anyways. As the old adage goes, bigger isn't always better. I'm a believer. So now for the big question: Anyone sell 19 x 11 wheels that won't break the bank? Cause frankly gotta have those 305's under that big ass lol.

edit: 305/35r19's

LMR offers a couple SVE wheels in 19x11 specifically sized for the S550. Good wheels for the price. Flow formed construction and lighter than the OE PP 19’s. I have the Nitto 555 G2 305/35/19 and like them. (Fronts are 19x10 with a 285/35/19). Also lowered on sportlines with no rubbing.

I have LMR's new SVE SP2's, 19x10/19x11, with 285/35/19 & 325/30/19 Nitto Invos.

LSChi, you needed 35's sidewall on the rear & 30's front, just sayin. I run 255/40/18 front & 255/45/18 rear.

Then I would lose gearing, and speedo would be off by 5%. I might consider them once I start modding more. I'm not running a tune yet. Don't want to screw up my warranty until I know the engine is solid. I wouldn't do 30's in the front, it's already sitting slightly lower in front with these.

Proper tire fitment ftw!

LMR / SVE sells the S350, R350 or GT7 and now the SP2. I'd go with your favorite of those.

Am I the only person who feels like they missed the first half of the story? What tire, what proof, what was tested?...

Too wide of tire on the wheel (305 on a 10"). Put same tire in narrower size on same wheel with proper fitment: everything better.

So what's better on a 20x10, a 275/35 or 285/35?

Depends on the tire, as some are narrower than others for the same size. Both can be a good fit. Make sure tread width, not section width, is between about 0.5" less to the same as the rim width and it's a good fit. Sometimes up to 1" smaller tread width is used for sharper handling as it supports the sidewall better.

So these Indy's should be perfect? I also found nittos g2 in a 285/35-20 for a good price but can't find the specs for them. Do you have an opinion between these 2 tires?

Yes those would be an ideal fit.

Correct any flex in the sidewall with these IRS rears is detrimental to the overall performance of the car (other then drag racing). Should have listened to you along time ago @BmacIL

I agree. I want to know which tires, which tests, test results.

P. S. most tires manufacturers /models have 295 as the max recommended size for a 10" wheel. So 305 being too big is not exactly wildly unexpected.

P. P. S. I have a set of Formula Ford rear slicks in the garage that are 9" wide, but designed for a 5.5" wheel. So BmacIL's recommendations aren't the best setup for every tire and wheel (and car).

Fair, but for 18-20" wheels and tires near 27" diameter (+/- 0.5" or so), it's a good guideline.
