Hi guys, I am horrible with tire and wheel sizing. I want to get new tires for my stock 18x8 wheels and I'm going for 255s on all 4 corners.

Is 255/40ZR18 the right size? I tried asking a tire rack guy but he seemed pretty hesitant to give a straight answer.

Thank you everyone.:headbonk:

The stock tire diameter is ~27" (+/-). Those 255/40/18 tires you're looking at are 26". A 255/45/18 will give you the 27" in 255s.

Check your stock tires, the size is located on the sidewall, then put the values in this calculator to confirm: https://tiresize.com/calculator/

But also you should consider what you are trying to accomplish. The difference between the 235/50 and 255/45 is so slight you may not notice any difference unless you are going from A/S to HiPer Summer tires.
