Intake tune and exhaust when you buy one and stop worrying about it. Or just go buy FI with a warranty :)

Kind of a wet blanket on the last year of the S550, really.

Not everyone wants to ruin their warranty on a brand new car.

Yes, but you may still end up with 10 HP less than someone who installs the same tune and exhaust on a 2021 MY. :p

It sure is. Now there is a 30HP difference between a Mach-E GT (performance edition) and a regular GT.

But wait there’s more!!!

The Mach-E GT (performance edition) has 10HP more than a Mach 1.

Forget the S550, go buy those Mach-E’s…………. :cwl:

Ford held that one close to the vest, could you imaging the rush on ordering '21's if that leaked a few weeks ago. I know it's only 10 hp/tq but recent events show people get crazy when you take something away.

I blame GM for discontinuing the Camaro. As soon as that happened, all the Ford execs clapped and started mercilessly cost cutting. I mean shit, the 21 engine cover even got bean counted to a single color of plastic.

I blame COVID-19.

Here we go its 1972-73 repeating. Hold on to your high HP cars its gonna be a long time before we get them back.
That ain't it dude.

Ford usually detunes a motor before it goes bye bye. Remember the beloved V6 in 2015? Detuned to make the Ecoboost more attractive. Look for this to happen to the V8 soon.

But, but, we wanted to see a gain in horsepower for 2022 models. Should be a surge in orders for the 2021 Mach 1 because of 2022 horsepower loss.
If there is a gain coming, it will be on the 2023 Gen 4 Coyote.

There won't be a Gen 4 Coyote... You'll be lucky to see the Gen 3 Coyote last a few more years. Why would they develop a motor going away soon?

I have huge doubts the Coyote will have a 4th gen. Unless pump gas magically upgrades to 95 or 96 octane tomorrow, lol.
Ford has dumped Millions into engine before and canceled them, but I believe this time they wouldn't throw those millions away. It should be close to ready.
