All this bitching about the Mach 1 price and we want even more. Every change on an assembly built car costs money.

Besides even if Ford were do have done something some folks on here would still be bitchin’. The emblem didn’t look right. Why didn’t they use leather instead of Alcantara? They flattened the bottom, why not the top? No way to make everyone happy.

So, for those of you that want a special wheel, do what every non Shelby S550 owner has done, go buy one.

I'm fine with the standard steering wheel. But there's no reason why the Bullitt got its own airbag cover and the Mach didn't, the cost would be minimal for the payoff.

Agreed, this would have made the interior a little more speshul. I’d be willing to bet they tried but couldn’t make it work in the limited space.

Which, as one of Zacks buyers, I can attest to !

Now, if Ford would kindly build said car and ship it ...................... I'd be a happy camper !

So my best friend in high school's dad still owns a yellow 1969 Mach 1 with a 428 and a shaker hood.

That is what I think of when I think Mach 1. The ground shakes when that car starts.

A shaker would be absolutely stupid on this car. It would have no functional use and wouldn’t even look good with the modern design language of the S550

neither premise is valid. Mopar uses both the traditional intake AND the shaker to do it's thing. Ford apparently couldn't be arsed to make the effort when all they had to do is copy what Mopar did.
