The assumption being the '23MY will be a continuation of the current S550. So, depending on when S650 launches, the '23MY could, potentially, be quite a short one!

That's nice to know, since some of the people who ordered 2022 Mach 1's and GT 350's may end up on it.

As by way of an example, the '23MY Mach E dates have been known for a few weeks. For that car, Order Banks open 15th August, Scheduling beings 15th September and Production beings 31st October. So, it's likely production of the '23MY S550 will being in early January, just as it has for the last couple of years (normally, it's Sept/Oct time, but Covid and chip shortages messed with that!)

A short half year or even first quarter build for the S550 as they usher in the S650, MY24, in Fall of 23..... i doubt we see any M1 and 500s. who knows. does Ford even know? lol. haha. hehe.

Maybe C&D were right and S650 won't be revealed until April 17th 2023........with production starting later that year, perhaps back in line with the more usual Sept/Oct start of production.

To be frank I wouldn't hold my breath with anything written now. With war in Central/Eastern Europe, chip makers are still having issues.

we have no clue what Mustangs they are going to produce and for how long.

I'm hoping these are for the new S650. Does not make sense to have a short-run of S550 23MY given the long wait times for them to get their orders delivered.

I believe the 2023 will be an S550 up until the summer months.

I would be utterly surprised if this were anything other than a continuation of the current spec S550 for a 6 month production run until July 2023 when they will close up shop and start retooling for S650 production. There is still more than enough demand for S550 to warrant building it for another year, especially since more weeks of closures of the factory are not unlikely and they still have quite a backlog of orders already.

I think production for the 2023 MY will be out until June/July 2023. While production for the S650 will probably start in August. I have no realtime or insider info just my got feeling.
