The dates are up. This go round I am sending the kiddo and the wife (ride along). They should enjoy the event. He is 27 and loves cars, has had a Raptor, GT350, AMG C63 bi-turbo, and others all bought by him, not me. LOL.

April 19-20, 2023. Although this date is not on the website, it is in fact a good date per the rep who just made the reservation for me.

Anyone else going? If so, when.

Having been once for my 2020, no need for me to go again. If you have a lot of seat time on the track, maybe not the best to go but still a cool experience. Being a novice solo driver, I learned a little about our cars on the track and some seat time in someone else's car is always nice.

Thanks for posting the dates. I needed the reminder. I’ve been a few times for the 350, will be cool to do the same track and be able to compare the 350 and the 500. Not sure when I’m going. Have to look in to that this weekend.

Are they still doing lead follow only down at CLT?

My guess is yes, but I did not ask since lead follow is ideal for the kiddo. I imagine it is.

I thought covid was the reason they didn't want insrructors in the cars.

When I did the school in the GT350 in Utah in 2016 it was lead follow back then.

I went Pre Covid from my 2020 purchase and it was lead follow. You did one lap with the instructor at the end but they were driving.

I like to disassemble things.

I was there in '16 too and for us it was lead/follow for the initial session on the track but you were on your own after that until the end when an instructor rode with you and then you rode with them for a hot lap.

Yea, forgot about the ride with the instructor.

I thought I was pretty good at the track until I rode with the instructor.

Lol. Funny you say that. I in no way thought I was pretty good pre instructor. Then realized why they are instructors and the huge advantage in knowing the track like the back of your hand plays after riding with the instructor.

Absolutely true.

My 1st day on a new track is slow, but improve each time/lap.

Has anyone got a hold of anybody to get scheduled? I have tried the last two days calling and sent an email and still haven’t heard back from anyone.

I did. On December 21st I spoke to a live person, got my date scheduled, and paid for the insurance and guest.
This week maybe a holiday for them. I would check back on Tuesday next week.
