I've assembled my own engines. Not that big of a deal. And I don't need mega HP. I just think that with an extremely porky vehicle, more power is needed.

I'd be perfectly fine with 500 hp - in a 3,000 lb vehicle like my old 944. My most likely path forward is swapping an LS into the 944. Doesn't even require an engine build. Just bolting stuff together - and maybe some light fab work. I'm sure I can complete it for a lot less than $50k as well.

I think I could use 650 hp on the street no problem at all. I don't need to stay on the gas for a long time, especially on the street. Short blasts within the speed limit are fine for me on the street. 650 HP is more than enough if the vehicle is natually aspirated and under 4,000 lbs. I prefer to stay away from boost if possible, though.

Go with a lighter clutch like the one from the GT350. Do the intake and tune changes. And maybe gears. For what you want I think the 2015 GT will be plenty good enough. It will be more fun to drive with the lighter clutch and more power. You'll enjoy it.
Your 944 with a mild LS swap would be a hoot....

My '07 GT500 was lightly modded to the tune of ~540 at the tire. It was too much for normal street tires at that power level, and more or less useless. I could drift it at will on dry pavement, to the joy and delight of many a terrified passenger. But that's boost for you. The same power figure would have been something else NA, and more usable although more peaky.

My '15 is a PP so I've already got 3.73s, anything steeper would be overkill, IMO. It's also got a flex tune which, combined with the gearing, makes first gear almost unusable and second barely maintains traction with 305 MPSS rears. I think the GT350 intake and corresponding tune revision might be the sweet spot for a road car, which is all it's used for. However, given the cost of changing cars to either the GT500 or Mach, I've been pondering building a nice NA 5.2 (you know, the engine the Mach should have had) or just saying fuck all and springing for a GT500 crate engine (easy enough swap) and continuing the mod fun with my existing car; either necessitates a clutch swap anyway.....but does nothing for the bum clutch knee in the long run.

718 Cayman GTS 4.0 has 400 hp, GT4 has 420 hp. GT3 RS / GT3 RS 4.0 V6 had 500 hp, true (at 8250 rpm), the compression ratio for these is 12.5 - 12.9. Mustang has 12.0. No idea what it would take to add 35% of power (or even 10-20% of power) or if it's even easily possible without completely new engine. Guess we'll see with S650.

Funny thing was the 180 000 € starting price it had back in the day, that's 250% of fully loaded Mach 1 here. Even GTS 4.0 400 hp starts at 25% more than fully loaded Mach 1 here.

These pipe dreams would cost way more than most of you are willing to pay for naturally aspirated car. The 96 hp per liter is a pretty amazing figure on its own for Coyote.
I just looked at Ford Czech website. Is it true that Mach1 is only 333kw

Just looked at the Ford Czech web site for the Mach 1 HP rating. Is it true that the HP is only 450HP and not the 480HP like we have in the USA? If so why are folks upset about loosing 10HP for Mach 1 Model 2022 year if Europe looses 30HP now?

Mach 1 is 460 hp in Europe (338 kW). GT is 449 hp (330 kW). But it's worse with torque, we have 390 ft.-lbs. while you had 420 (for both GT and Mach 1). It was always lower since 2015. GPF from 2018 didn't help it either. But hey, it's still mighty fine iconic car so who'd complain

PS: We also don't get HP at all. No snow here to plow away, I guess.

LIke I said in my original post. I'm not picky. I'm fine with an increase in displacement to get the power increase.

You know, the part of my post you decided to delete in your quote?

On edit: and yes I realize that Porsches are expensive. Doesn't mean a Ford should be.

Yes, no point to talk about bigger displacement, it's highly unlikely it's going to happen. Coyote will stay 5.0. They're cutting power now because of emissions , they dropped 5.2 Voodoo and you think they'd add dozens of g/km of CO2 emissions? I think that train already left. Not in GT anyway. But there could be Boss 302 with 500 hp at some point, that would be sweet. There's a factory supercharged version for those who want significantly more power so they have it covered, various aftermarket options too.

or Ford realized the offering was a scam and no better than the "security" you find on Mopars - which get stolen trivially. And rather than suffer a big-time lawsuit decided to remove the non-feature.
You speaking from experience on that? I wasn't even aware the Mopars had an electronic column lock.

Also my understanding is that the Charger/Challenger are susceptible to key signal spoofing (and just engaging the transmission emergency release on the automatics and being pushed away/loaded onto a flatbed).

Longer manifold runners and better scavenging would move the band and give you more peak, but then you need better tolerances and internals. It's definitely possible, but there would be compromises (low end torque for example). I would love to see them make a gt350 with the 5.2 Aluminator.

Any idea when the site will be updated to the 2022 configurator?

I see they brought back the 16-17 GT/CS wheel for non PP1 GT/CS, , It would have been decent to at least offer the Bullitt Grey version in a squared set up instead of the older GT/CS wheel

Too bad you cannot get a Black paint with the Ice White Edition

GT/CS can also be ordered in orange., but still odd no race red for GT/CS??? I find that strange for 2022.
