oh come on it's barely 2%. Like anyone can tell the damn difference.

Maybe they got the EPA crawling up their ass or it's a smog dodge. Or they are using slightly different correction factors. Or someone didn't tighten the dyno straps down as tight...
Incidentally “Smog Dodge” is what they’re naming the next version of the Hellcat. 😂

10hp is not a big deal to me, besides it’s nothing the aftermarket high performance parts can’t fix!
Hopefully it is just an add-on restrictor, and they can disable or circumvent the green ideologically imposed performance penalty - as it would adversely impact on the entire rev range dynamics.

well one way is to look at other companies. The Hellcats and the Camaros. If they remain the same HP, then I dont understand how its emission related. Unless it has to do with fuzzy math and the credits for selling clean cars that allows for the sale of the others.

Interesting, grabber blue and oil slick are both available on the mach 1. I'm seriously considering trading my grabber blue vert for a GB or oil slick mach 1. I would have to see a pic of both on a mach 1 before I decide.

I mean this is the company that instead of replacing a trunk seal spent $$$ to put a downward bend into the exhaust tips of the Explorer/CrownVic to "fix" an exhaust re-circulation issue.
Yes I agree with you. The Grand Cherokee SRT is de tuned to 475 go from 485 and it’s 0-60 time is .2 seconds slower not to mention it’s also heavier than a challenger. My issue is the creeping of these smog police dicks and why it means for tuning of these cars

If you really care about emissions, do not make a GT or a Mach 1 or a Shelby. Not that 10 HP is a big deal, it's just a pathetic excuse. Most likely there were issues that Ford doesn't want to fix and so its alleviating the problem in 22 MY.

I wonder what they will do to Shelby. :X
Shelby is supposed to be the same. I haven’t seen any concrete info but thats what I’m hearing.

Crazy part is my 2021 5.0 F150 got a 5hp bump to 400 but the GT’s and Mach’s get 10 less.

This is what horsepower redistribution is about lol

What could have possibly had this big of an effect?
Perhaps they're adding GPF filter to US models too, like we have in EU models. Iirc that's what cost us 10 hp.
Or they lowered the power slightly so S650 can look better on paper next year when regular GT gets 480 hp as standard, marketing stuff.

Both HP & Torque are down, although that could be in line with the current Export models..
Could this only be for the Euro market mach 1 and GT since emission restrictions are super tight over there?
The current Euro Mach 1 (MY 2021) is already rated at:
338 kW (460 HP) at 7250 rpm
529 Nm (390 lb-ft) at 4900 rpm

Curious to see part of what is now simply called the Security Package deleted (the electronic steering column lock). I'm guessing this is due to either cost cutting or the chip shortage. Same with LED fogs on the Ecoboost premium.

Wouldn't stop me from ordering a car, just kinda surprised to see a feature like that deleted.

Emissions issues from 2021+ killed the 6spd manual in the Challenger Hellcat. So Ford skated through regulations by reducing HP/TQ. I wonder what Dodge is planning to do?

I'm looking at possibly getting a JFG HandlingPack Mach1 6mt. May need to get one now before emissions regulations kill HP across the board!

The Australian 2021 GT is 339 kw (455 Hp) @ 7000 rpm, with 556 Nm (410 lb-ft) @ 4600 rpm
The Australian Mach 1 is 445 Kw (462.65 hp) @ 7500 and the same 556 Nm.

btw 338 kW = 453.3 Hp

Based on this all hellcat power is coming back and the 6-speed is still available
