I did see that. I'm hoping that's a typo!
That is funny that the Mach 1 is the only style where they print the horsepower. I am wondering if the GT will also have 470HP.

GT is at 450hp now
Hope someone has some insider contacts to clear up this info. Is it really rated less or just fudging some numbers for some reason?

What would it matter anyway? It's not like you can feel the difference of 10 hp. After the short time I have it I can say the car is insanely fast as is 😁

So glad I picked 2021 Velocity Blue, when Mach 1 isn't getting Atlas Blue. Not a fan of light Grabber Blue.

Looks like the Coastal Package is going to be the old California Special package but for the ecoboost.

10hp is not a big deal to me, besides it’s nothing the aftermarket high performance parts can’t fix!

Umm... did I see that right or does the 22 Mach 1 horsepower rating say 470hp instead of the 21 480hp?
Hoped it was just a Typo, which are unfortunately not infallible - eg the 21 Spec Sheet still has the 5.0 as 302 cu in when it is 307. I seriously hope that is the case !

It also states:

MECHANICAL * New — None ● Changed — None ● Deleted — None

The GT is down to 450 and the Mach 1 is down to 470. Both are down 10hp due to emissions.

I think that has just killed any thoughts I had of getting a 2022.
Both HP & Torque are down, although that could be in line with the current Export models..

That really is mind boggling.

Emissions have always got stricter over the years but the companies always managed to up the horsepower as they went along.

What could have possibly had this big of an effect?

If you really care about emissions, do not make a GT or a Mach 1 or a Shelby. Not that 10 HP is a big deal, it's just a pathetic excuse. Most likely there were issues that Ford doesn't want to fix and so its alleviating the problem in 22 MY.

I wonder what they will do to Shelby. :X

Well if its a typo, its in multiple places. Such as page 23 with the Rear Axle ratios, shows 470 HP

WTF this cant be true
oh come on it's barely 2%. Like anyone can tell the damn difference.

Maybe they got the EPA crawling up their ass or it's a smog dodge. Or they are using slightly different correction factors. Or someone didn't tighten the dyno straps down as tight...

I mean this is the company that instead of replacing a trunk seal spent $$$ to put a downward bend into the exhaust tips of the Explorer/CrownVic to "fix" an exhaust re-circulation issue.
