2022 Mustang Ice White Edition Coming This Fall 2021

It's a "run out special".

'22 is likely the last model year for the S550. This helps get it a few more column inches in the press, and a few more hits on the internet. They were never going to invest big money in unique parts for such a car.

I like the fact they launched it at the Woodward Dream Cruise. I can't recall a time Ford ever released a new model there.

It just hit me , white wheels highlight the tires. With black wheels , the tire just blends in with the wheel. Now , I know why I need white wheels.

Light color bodies …. dark wheels

Dark bodies ….. light wheels.

The only exception is black. Dark wheels are fine with black.

The Ford marketing team needs to be fired. Except for those marketing outcasts whose ideas are continually dismissed.

THOSE are the ideas that are needed.

Yet another color variation of the 50th anniversary wheel. Can't they come up with a new design instead of continually diluting the uniqueness of previous special edition models?

Ford has NO idea what its doing with wheels, they tried to claim the Mach1 wheels were inspired by the Mach-E wheels, ignoring that they clearly also look like changed PPL2 wheels, which is a take on the 50th Anni wheels, which looks like an older GT500 wheel, and that itself is a take on the FR500 wheels.

Ford has literally been using mildly updated styling of the FR500 wheel since like 1999. THAT is how bad they are with wheel designs. It's Y-spokes and modified Tourque Thrusts all the way down!

Why is it that some of us always find the negative in anything Ford does? Ford is not a wheel/rim manufacturer, they are a car manufacturer. Even with that said they make 9 different wheels/rims available for the EB & GT. And another 3 for the M1 for an even dozen. That's not enough? How about the four zillion models offered by the aftermarket.

Ford may be many things but stupid isn't one of them. They know that wheels/rims are the #1 aftermarket mod for Mustangs. Why do they need more than 12 factory wheels/rims?
