How did the passes go?

It went went a 12.54 and a 12.51 the two passes I made. Ran on the stock 20” Goodyears. If I can I may take it again I think there is a little left in it but it is a heavy full weight convertible.

It has 3.55’s

OK, not shockingly I’m officially confused.

I thought the inner plastic tube insert was only found in the Mach 1.

That is what I thought also but I bought a 2019 intake yesterday, with the intent of just switching my lid with that one and noticed that my 22 did have that plastic insert!

So, I just went ahead and removed it from my 22 and put in in the 2019 that I am now using because the one video where the person with the Mach 1 said that he put the insert back in after testing.

Did you keep the inner plastic tube insert that is in this area?

It’s my understanding that the tube insert needs to remain in place as the MAF sensors and air/fuel tables are calibrated based on airflow for a certain internal diameter of the air tube. I’ve not attempted to remove mine so others that have can chime in with better info, but I believe that was mentioned in one of the Mach 1 threads on this subject

I do not recall seeing that. If it was there it still is.

I pulled the carbon filter and removed the mesh as well. I left the honey comb up in the pipe alone. It fellt like it was glued or made into the pipe itself so I didn't mess with it. No ill effects at all since removing, have driven probably 1000 miles since doing. I also removed the sound tube while I was at it as well.

I wouldn't have even noticed either if I hadn't looked inside of the tube.
