So who else is in line for a 2022?

Is the order bank for 2022 GT500s going to open in a few days or not?

I am about to call my GM and get his statement on it.

I was just at a dealership near me and they checked and the order bank was not open yet, but on a bright note they said they would do MSRP on a 2022!

GM said he is going to check but he believes they will not open until January/February.

I’m in line for an allocation but haven’t heard anything yet. Really crossing my fingers a couple people already found cars or back out for other reasons since my backup for an MSRP allocation went bye bye when my local dealer was bought out.

Noticed you’re in Houston. The wife and I will be there this weekend for a week. Any insight into where the local GT500s hang out in H town? Went to Royal Purple Raceway last time I was there but never saw anything but GTs. Only place I’ve seen a GT500 in person was a dealer with ropes around one with a 40k ADM. Lol

Just because the order bank is not open for the 22 GT500's doesn't mean that you can't make a deal with a dealer for a 22. If the dealer had an allocation for a 21, he also has at least one allocation for a 22. That way when the order bank opens, your order will be one of the first in the bank.

I’m in line for a 2022, having recently sold my 2021. Just looking to change colors so I may snag another 2021 if I can find one at msrp.

Check here. This is the best place to see events and club drives. https://www.facebook.com/houstonshelbyowners/
Other than that, not really any go to regular events to see other GT500s.

I am number 1 for my dealership's 2022 allocation. Not unlike my 2020 allocation with the same dealership that was supposed to be a 2021 but luckily got bumped up to a 2020. I was number one for the 2021 but they got a second 2020 allocation thus bumping me up to a 2020.

I’m supposed to get my dealerships first 2022. They got 2 for 21. Just waiting right now.

There was no such thing as a GT500 when I made my deal with my dealer.
Same here. Made the deal eighteen months before the announcement.

anyone know what a normal/common deposit is for securing an allocation? is it $2k, $5k, or 10% of sticker? and is it usually 100% refundable up to a certain point?
I usually put down $1,000 and it is always refundable (except for Tesla). LOL!
