Love going to "Back to the 50's car show" Mpls. in june, Missed this past year. Not sure they had it or not though.
I haven’t been to that one. There’s a car show down in Hastings, Mn that I’ve attended a time or two. Wisconsin has the best golf courses. You see a lot of nice looking rides in Hudson most evenings on the weekends during the summer.

It can happen. But it’s very rare. And usually only with long term relationships with the dealer.
Just look at this LOGICALLY:

Why would they sell you a car at MSRP you can turn around and sell for 5 - 10- or 15K over on Ebay or Autotrader, or Cargurus - the day after you buy it come on Man - get real... WOULD YOU - stop

Because he can sell it to me at Msrp and ill be back about every year to year and a half buying more cars. Over time, he’ll get more than that from me. I know this happens because I am that guy. I turned down Msrp on a white cftp just 3 weeks ago they got. Turned down their first 500, first gt350, first bullet and Mach. All msrp. Because I’m loyal. Bought from same dealership since 1995, when they helped me out of a bind(95 mustang gts), and same salesman since 2011. The only reason I didn’t buy this car from them is cause they may not even get a 22. If they do, I may buy it and sell this one

so, my point is, it is possible.I agree with you, not likely, but possible. And it def helps to have a long term relationship with them. If I was not in that position with them, or gotten lucky as i did, I likely would agree with you.

$5k over is a deal at the moment, take it if you can get it. It’s not going to change with the ‘21 order group being pushed to ‘22. I’ve bought a ton of cars and have never paid a markup until I got into a GT500. Crazy times.

Used cars.com and Ford dealers search at a 500 mile radius to locate a CFTP. Found 4-5 I was interested in. Called and talked to each one. All but one was stuck on $18k to $30k ADM. I expanded my search with the same results including a couple at $50k ADM. Finally picked the one I found under 18k. Heading to pick it up this Friday at 11k over and 5 hours away. They are throwing in a cover and some M-1700 subframe tie down straps which adds up to a whopping $500. I’m not saying that they don’t exist but good luck finding one on a CFTP. I know some folks here say that paying over MSRP is crazy but in this market I would say the same about a dealer willing to sell at MSRP. My local dealer would do inter-dealer purchases all day long at 10k and move the cars easily. This same dealer has no problems moving the few trucks they can get with an ADM

I bought mine for MSRP however, part of that was due to the fact that they wanted my 2019 Z06 as they had a buyer for it.

The same dealer marked up a different car I was interested in and refused to negotiate. I was a bit surprised however, I cannot complain since I paid MSRP and still made money on the Z06!

A piece of advice I learned when I searched for my GT500, be sure to check the dealer's website and also call and confirm availability. The websites are not always updated, the last thing you want to do is make a trip and find out that the car is sold. Dealers will leave the car online until the sale is final.
I'm not sure MSRP is possible, but you might be able to find one at a lower ADM.

It can also go the other way around in that they have inventory or a confirmed order, not showing on their website yet, which was the case for myself. Called for the car on their website which they'd just sold but learned about 3 orders they had in the pipeline, one of them became my car :-)

Hahahaha - I guess you like to pay more for something then what it's worth, good for you, most of us no better ...

So in your World pick up an item in Walmart that's marked with a price tag of $19.99 and when you get to check out the person at the register says "Hmmmmmm lets see there aren't to many of these left - You have to pay $39.99, wonder how that would go over for you - let us all know if you don't mind

AND YES IT IS THE SAME DAMN THING ...!!!!

Not really. Never had Walmart do that to me at the register. In most places I shop the prices of products are usually clearly marked. The stores set the prices because they own the product. You’re job as a buyer is to decide based on need or desire what you would pay for the product. You can either purchase or not. It is the product owners (stores) job to set prices at a level the market will hold. Considering the low numbers of GT500’s available at this time I’d say they’ve been rather accurate. Econ 101.
