Ok. So after driving this for 2k miles, I am not a fan of the OE F1's in the rain. I live in Mobile, which is 60-70" a year, so I'm going to swap the rears now and the fronts in a bit. My 2019 PP1 was used when I bought it, it had the Nitto G2's and they sucked, so I went to Mich SS's on the rear and it was night and day handling wise. I am not tracking but I enjoy spirited driving, and need something rain reliable too, and these F1's just don't feel that way when damp. They seem to be fine dry tires. I am running 35psi all the way around per the door.

Before I go run to the Michelins, I just wanted to make sure someone didn't have any other input because this car is obviously different than the 19 PP2 in wheel and tire size, and handling characteristics. I don't want to assume.

Here are my options:

Cont Extreme Contact Sport $354 each
Mich SS $362
PS4S $441

Thanks.

With my situation, I guess I need All Season High Perf which is DWS06 or Pilot Sport A/S 4. My PP2 was driven like 3-4k miles a year, this car is a daily driver and driven 1k miles a month.

I’ve always been a Michelin guy but I’m also considering the Conti’s now. They are known for having slightly softer sidewall which could be advantageous in a 20”.

I am currently running the G2s on all 4 corners but just bought the R2s for the rears because the G2 can't handle the factory power. I've heard good things about their rain-driveability. I will know in the coming weeks as I get the G2s on the rear stripped and swapped for the R2s.

Yeah I had no luck with the G2's in the rain here. I used rain mode a lot. That was a manual though, the Auto is better in that regard, these F1's are just randomly squirrely.

I run the Conti ECS and they’re fantastic in the rain (and dry too). I will be getting them again for the GT as well. The PS4S are great tires but to me the Conti’s are just as good for a better price

I've never had an issue with the G2 in the rain really but I use Snow/Wet mode all the time in the rain. I'm stripping the G2 cause in SPORT+ or TRACK they don't really hook all that well NOW and have an SC coming. The reviews on the R2 are that you can drive them in the rain as long as you are "getting froggy" with it (assuming that means dropping the rear when you floor it).

My daily tire is the RE980AS, very happy with it and Bridgestone sometimes puts them on sale at a killer price.
