Isn’t Anderson stuff made in china? I could be wrong on that.
either way like usual you are 100% right on this. Stop buying china crap and help them go back to the Stone Age! Build shit in this country please. I’ll pay whatever it takes if any companies are listening……
I've been to China multiple times and my wife is from Shanghai, so I do really like the people though I find many of their policies appalling. I agree we need to decrease reliance on any one country for so many of our goods, I think China became the de facto lazy answer to, "How can we decrease costs?" rather than investing around the globe.

So anyway, on the China note, not sure if you guys saw this as I posted it in the general subforum, but it looks like China is severely cutting magnesium production due to the energy crisis there, and it may impact many (non-US) countries that are dependent on them for magnesium in auto parts (RIP VW group):

Anyway get those orders in before domestic magnesium producers figure this out. Because I bet they raise market prices, and you know Ford is just gonna pass the cost on to us.

I apologize I get excited and specifically say what I think. The Chinese people I’m sure are lovely and I feel bad they live under communism. The CCP can all die in a house fire. Slowly.

Has anyone had their '21 order canceled (or switched to a '22 order) yet by chance? And if you did, was it with or without the handling pack?

Three weeks ago (Sept 30th), Ford pushed my build date to Nov 15th. Today, after the longest period without updates I think I've ever had, when I was starting to get my hopes up that Nov 15th was gonna happen, they updated it again to Nov 22nd. I forget when they cut production for 2021 MY cars, but I suspect I'm starting to push it... Hopefully I'm safe. No handling pack at least.

I called FP and got a build date of 11/5. I just got an email from Ford stating week of 11/22. What a gut punch. I am really worried this car isnt going to get built this year. Its sad because I wont order a 22. I dont like the colors and the hp loss is a turn off. I ordered yellow, Twister Orange would have been next....both gone for 22.

Same.

meanwhile my original PP order hasn’t budged from 11/05.

I’m now worried about the Mach1, I wasn’t until now

I’m negative about 2022 because the HP and torque loss

You were scheduled for Nov 1st until the email today? So you were scheduled to possibly have your car built in less than two weeks... and they didn't update you until just now!??? Damn, that sucks... It only pushed me back a week, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hah, I see I'm not alone in getting that email today (not that that should surprise me)... and also not alone in being worried about it.

I tend to agree about the '22 MY, and who knows when the hell those will get built, either. I was considering waiting for the '22 MY in the hopes it would have better, more exciting colors (like Grabber Lime), but looks like they went the opposite route.

Yes, production day of 11/04. My original PP order was scheduled the day after for 11/05.

The Mach 1 has been delayed, the PP hasn't moved. So it's a part that is particular to the Mach 1 that is causing this delay.

It is a non handling package.

what was your ORIGINAL build date estimate at time of order (or within a few days of confirmed order)?
Three weeks after the order confirmation I received the VIN plus the original build week of 12/06....looks like it's getting back close to the original date!

So, I never received an email pushing my car back from 03NOV to 28NOV. I only know because I called FP when all the other HP orders got pushed last week.
