Yup, HE will get 0.8g in acceleration. I just know it. All you have to do is point the camera at the shifter and the pedal box.

Better? :facepalm: :giggle:

The catch is that the components making downforce on a car will need a certain minimum speed to start working noticeably.
My point remains. If we know downforce at a given speed, we can calculate it at any. That value might be quite low, but it will be.

When i say faster IE: top end, I mean ;

10R80 = 17.5% drivetrain loss
MT82 = 12.5% drivetrain loss

That's a 5% RWHP difference. Unless some of you's thinks the 10r80 magically makes horsepower.

It does. It's called gearing. :crackup:

1st: Source?

2nd: The auto doesn't 'make horsepower', but it shifts a whole lot faster than I can, which literally means the car is full-throttle for a greater percentage of time down every straight. Shift speed is a big deal. Further, the increased selection of ratios means the engine powerband can be better optimized by the auto.

Look, I don't want the auto to be faster. It just is.

does that apply if youre granny shifting, not double clutching like you should?
Double clutching is not necessary or even particularly useful with a synchro box. The only people even talk about doing it on a dog box is the Skippy School...and the instructors don't actually do it when they're driving, regardless of what they teach.

OK, OK I get it. And no, I don't watch F&F type movies. I watched Rush and Ford v.s. Ferrari. Both of those were actually reasonable.

Skip Barber still teaches students to double clutch (or at least they're supposed to), no shit.
