Ok I this is a dual thread:
First some photos of the first 8,700 miles on the TO (Twister Orange)M1.
1. Flew to Atlanta 3/22 for collection day. TO.
2. Tail of the Dragon
3. Drove back to Naperville, IL
4. Attended NW Shelby Club at Road America 4/22.
5. Rocky Mountain Roundup in Colorado Springs
6. SAAC 46 Sonoma, California
7. Rolex Reunion at Laguna Seca.
8. Woodward Dream Cruise. Detroit.
9. Collection day 9/8 Grainger GYM1HP (yep we bought a second one Grabber Yellow)
10. Back to Road America with Badger BMW Club.
11. Charlotte for M1Track attack.
Backstory (my brother Jimmy who is a huge Mustang/Ford guy) He refused a free Chevy T-shirt at WWDC. Never would wear it. Was diagnosed with stage IV cancer in February. He has the best attitude and no news is good news, so it is what it is and we decided to attend as many Mustang/Ford events as possible, until we can’t.
planning 15 events next year all over the Country so say hi if you see us!
Anyway, part II of the thread.
We were driving M1HP GY(105 miles only) this morning on a 75mile run. This car has the best:
a. Sound
b. Handling
c. Brakes
d. Transmission (both are 6sp)
e. Engine 480hp for street it’s all you need, track you never have enough. We both smiled the entire ride.
So, Ford claims M1HP best track 5.0 Mustang ever. I say awesome street car. Let the debate begin it’s got to be top 5 Mustangs ever. Between my brother and I we have owned the following Mustangs no BS.
1969 Boss 302 - Jimmy
1970 Mustang Grande 302 2B Auto - Moms
1984 GT conv’t 5sp
1985 GT conv’t 5sp
1986 SVO
1992 LX 5.0 5sp Jimmy
1995 Cobra R’s
2000 Cobra R
2005 FR-500C vin#11
2010 Boss 302R (yes the year is correct)
2021 M1 Jimmy
2021 M1HP
Bold statement but just saying top 5 Mustangs EVER.
