If you are trying to see if you have a VIN, Tuesday is the day to check with your dealer. But if you haven't receive one, chances are that Ford may not issue anymore VINs until some time in mid Feb. They already have 456 cars scheduled to be built in March. After you get a VIN, it is a waste of time to call your dealer until a week or two before your scheduled build day.
Gotcha - there is a publicly accessable site that you can use once you have a VIN to track things, correct? Or it that garbage?

So based the info above, should I call my dealer and ask them change my priority from 19 to a lower number? I believe that was the default priority given by the system.

Late last year, Ford decided to dumb down the tracking websites, this year they have made them almost useless. Example: At this time you can not view any information about the configuration of your car, no color or other options are displayed. Hopefully this is a short term problem.

Use this for cars that were ordered by U.S. customers.
Ford Vehicle Order Tracking

Use this for all orders, dealer ordered, customer ordered and all other orders worldwide.
Track My Mustang

This one will work on all orders, but you will need to use the FireFox browser to convert it to a readable format. Make sure you change the VIN in the address line to your VIN.
Order Tracking

Here is a VIN for testing, this one is dealer ordered.

New to the site. Just a question. Some guys posted in early January 7-8 range that they were able to order their 2021 GT500 at MSRP, without any dealer premium markup. That sure sounds nice. I live in a small town in east Tennessee and all the Ford dealers within a 50 mile radius that I have checked with want anywhere from $6-$15K dealer premium markup on top of the MSRP. How are you guys that lucky to get MSRP pricing?

50 mile radius? That is as minuscule as can be. Extend your range and you greatly increase the likelihood of finding what you seek.

ATTENTION:

There there were 267 new 2021 GT500 VINs issued today.

If you are waiting for a VIN, call your dealer today.

Good luck.

Agree with Epiphany. You really have to put the work in to get a msrp deal if you don't have a great relationship with your local dealer. Search atleast 500 miles or even nationwide if necessary. Whether you arrange shipping or travel across country and drive back, its much less than the average dealer markup.

On the other hand, whats your time worth to you. If you can work your local dealer to drop mark up to 3k or less, stay local, and save all the travel and hassle. May not be a bad deal to consider. Juat my .02.

Ok, guys thanks. Something to consider. But, with the # to be built, the demand and the allocation across dealers, it might be very hard to find one that is going to just sell at MSRP, even though a few members have said they were able to do that. When I was searching for a new 2020, I couldn't find any dealers that weren't charging at least a $5K markup, no matter where they were located across the country. So, currently am working with a local small dealer here to see if they can get an allocation. Thanks again.

One more thing. If I am able to order one, I want it in Performance Blue. But I am not able to find pics of any GT500 in that color. Obviously on the Ford site when you go out and build one, it shows the color but that color doesn't look right. Bc, when I built a GT500 in Velocity Blue and then saw a GT Mustang in Velocity Blue at a local dealer, the color shade looked much different.
So, if anyone has a pic of one or another Ford vehicle in Performance Blue, I would really love to see it. Appreciate it.

OMG, that is Gorgeous. Thank You so much, man. That has me rethinking if I want the OTTP stripes or not. I was originally thinking about no stripes, but might change my mind

It looks good either way, but as you can see I prefer the stripes. You can’t go wrong.

Question. My son has a 2017 ZL1 Camaro, he just bought used. It has something called a PDR (Performance Data Recorder) he was telling me about. Does the GT500 have anything like that as standard or would you have to order the track package to get something like that?
