Overall, Ford's build website and configurator is pretty dang bad compared to its competitors...
They don't sweat the details in the design and manufuring process; no reason to expect it in the build and price. That is one reason why Ford, GM et al have lost market share over time.

I know, what a shame. Because overall, Ford products are not bad. It's just that sometimes it's really obvious they don't care. Or is it the volume of vehicles made? I don't know...
I've also not really been brand loyal, I go to whatever offering I like. Since I buy solely manuals, my last was '18 Accord 2.0t in stick, which was way better built than the Bullitt in terms of fit and finish. But, Accord doesn't have to have the same body and structure for a 25k rental level Mustang to a 75k GT500...
