I can definitely confirm that tramlining is caused mainly by tires... I am using some Coopers for all day driving (only all season I found in 305 30 19) and there zero tramlining. Not kidding. As soon as I put back my CF wheels with SC2's to drive to the track, I have to fight it on freeways.

Crazy that people talk about tramlining in the gt350. I had the Michelins and now Nittos. This car drives better than any car i've ever driven. Zero fight on the highway, zero fight on the streets. Maybe i just haven't driven a nice car before? I mean, it drove better than my wife's previous Mercedes, so i don't get it.

Throw a set of GT350R MPSC2's on it and you'll get a masterclass in tramlining. You can minimize the dancing with a really precise wheel alignment, but the usual effect is that every little ripple in the pavement gives your car instructions on which way to turn.

Yep, my 2019 350R with Cup2’s = annoying tramlining on the street but awesome on the autocross track.
Put a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4s’ on, and it drives like a dream on the street… tramlining completely gone!

I will say this... after replacing with conti's I realized how much sensitivity feedback in the steering was missing but for a daily driver ps4's or Conti's are more ideal.
