This is the Shelby Super Snake. Crafted from a Mustang GT, Shelby American have modded it into a beast like no other. With the help of a Whipple Supercharger, it makes 800hp ...and a ton of noise. James and Thomas jump behind the wheel to see if it delivers on its extra cost.

the pricing on this car is insane though for that money you will have GT500 and money for perf upgrades on it.

Carol Shelby had nothing to do with this car so that mystic argument holds no water for me. It is a typical modern Shelby era 2007ish where they took a GT put on $4k worth of FRP parts and called it a Shelby. There is no real development here, just a way over priced modded car with a CSM number on it. $170K Canadian is absolutely ridiculous when you can have a properly developed GT500 for half the cost with only 40HP less. I can't imagine anyone being dumb enough to buy this car.

Yea, I kind of think he hasn’t had any involvement for a few years... considering he died in 2012...

:giggle:

So Shelby American had to produce a S550 Shelby Super Snake to compete with ——— hold on now ——— it’s coming ——— another Shelby S550....

LMAO and yes, people will be “dumb enough” to plunk down any amount of $$$$ for it - because.... wait for it ——— you know it’s coming again ——— because it’s a Shelby.

These threads always turn into a debacle. It's funny how people seem to forget that the original '65-'70 Shelbys were....Mustangs....modified....by....Shelby American.

You know, much like today. If you wanted to be a stickler, the Shelby American cars are truer to the original concept. Not as highly engineered as a factory entity, but....

I don't care for that spoiler with the gurney section. The reverse shelby on it looks dumb if viewing from exterior rear. I liked maybe getting the spoiler and omitting the gurney section but it comes already pre drilled with 8 holes for that plastic piece.

I know to get bumpers, gotta convert your whole car, I wondered if you can ask shelby to skip parts during conversion?

I know I can never afford one, but wondered if Shelby would allow no stripes no cobra logos etc. Blackout edition? A discreet shelby.

Yes, very much. Looks like a different bumper and hood to give it a narrower look, more GT350 ish. Not debating the pricing, but I think it looks pretty good.
