Where did you see that?? I'm seeing prices more likely in the $150k range. You can barely buy a regular Vette for $70k
My dad got a 1LT Convertible out the door for under $50k. They are heavily discounted.

Also, I'm an engineer in the auto industry in Detroit. I hear lots of birdies.

Its funny we are starting to see camo photos of an all new C8 mid engine car while Ford still screwing around with this heavily delayed GT500 on a 4 year old platform. Jesus

I don't recall hearing anything of the sort when Dodge released the Demon on a 10+ year old platform. Calm down people.

regular 'vettes are cheaper than GT350 MSRP. Regular, non R GT350. I was considering buying one as I don't need the back seats and I prefer a smaller car than the Mustang. The main thing I really wasn't excited about is the bland engine on the base 'vette. Then I'd want the handling package as well. And I'm not crazy about the supercharged V8 in the higher power models of Corvette either.

So did the gt500 lose the gt350 style fender vents? Every picture I’ve seen seems to have fully sealed fenders...or are they just getting better at disguising it?

Don't read too much into the spoiler. There will likely be a tame and an over the top version available. What you see here is probably something that fit - that is all.

Nice to see the VIR sticker. But Nurburgring, where are you? Should have been there a month ago.
Domestic OEMS can get alot better data from a few trips note worthy tracks here stateside versus a trip to the ring. We haven't seen the C8 at the ring yet, but we have seen it at VIR.

Which Vette are we talking about? The base C8 or the twin turbo monster costing "within $10k of each other"?

If it's the base Vette, the GT500 should blow it away.
Now the TT monster is going to kill McLarens (and the GT) for a fraction of the price.

Does that mean the 350 vents don't do anything?

I like to disassemble things.

I just got home from a few days at VIR for the IMSA Continental series race. I learned that the upcoming GT500 has indeed been testing there. Forget the wheels you see, the spoiler, the cage, as those are simply functional items that get used for testing purposes but don't reflect what will come with the car when it finally gets released. The biggest surprise to me is that nobody has posted a shot of the car (while in camo) on the track...
