That was actually a pretty decent video. Man the wing comments...yeah I can see that happening.

Nice to see more of the car, inside, out, and under the hood.

Does anyone know if this is Orange Fury or Twister Orange? Wondering what the differences will be between the two colors.

I know this isn’t a production version, but interesting that the chassis is black.

Can’t stand the white highlights on the interior.
I agree with him on the shift dial.
I’m personally not a fan of the carbon interior option.
Something I can’t stand on any car is the mix match of interior plastic textures.
To me, the carbon is nice but not for me. Maybe in person I’d like it better.

At the Detroit auto show they wouldn’t let you get near the damn car.

To bad all salesmen aren’t informational as this guy.

I like to disassemble things.
Not a fan of the white interior accents either and pray you can get all black Recaros, etc. Something tells me there will be no choice here.

Again Ford, your focus groups really suck.

Interesting document!

I guess everyone saw this:

So the Handling Package does have some additional perks beyond the adjustable shocks and unique wing.

I noticed that too. I didn't think the Handling Package got the splitter wickers. I'm actually leaning towards that version now as CF wheels aren't something I can't live without.

Not sure how he knows, but 9.5:1 CR. Exactly what I guessed in the previous threads.

And that’s why a 5.0 with a whipple can make 700+ because of 12:1 CR.

This car might actually only make 720 hp like was said. “Twice the hp of the original GT500”.

Correct me if in wrong, but 1pt of CR is negated by 1 psi of boost yes? IE, the hp lost from lower cr can be gained back by 1psi?

and 5.2l is 4% larger than 5.0 So at 700hp, the 5.2, all things equal is 28hp stronger. I still see 2650 S/C'd coyotes at 12 psi on 93 as a good baseline

I got tired of waiting on this car and instead decided to add a whipple/OPG/CS/CF drive shaft to my GT 350.....as well an 18GT /whipple/OPG/CS/CF DS for the drag strip .Both make over 800 whp and best of both worlds with the six peed Tremed and 10 speed A10(except for the DCT).
I figure all probably for less than it would have cost me to trade in my GT 350 for the GT 500 with rumored price plus ADM if I wanted one in the first 2 years .

Then it was first revealed and I started second guessing my decision. However with the confirmation of the 9.5 CR engine I think I made the right choice. I run race gas on my GT 350 now but will be switching to E85 with a return system .
I run E85/ race gas in the 18 GT now with a BAP/DW400 pump but will also be switching to a return fuel system so I can run E85 when I pulley down more .....E85 and high compression are like peanut butter and jelly !

Also having a high compression (12:1) CP version of the Voodoo built with stronger rods as a “spare” for the GT 350 or of my other GT’s.

Only thing on the GT 500 I now wish I could have would be the DCT(may be it will possible to swap in the GT 350 in the future )..... and factory warranty ...but it would probably only have been a matter of time before I would void that if got a GT 500.
At least I have a couple of toys to play with tfor the next couple of years and I may consider picking up a used one then.

No, not at all. How come I knew you’d show up and argue this?

Read up on static compression VS effective compression.

It’s insanity to think ford could and WOULD have a high compression blown engine. This thing is only port injected! It’s last generation coyote tech.

Remember?
He’s gonna mod his new 500 the day he gets it. Then when he breaks something he’ll return it all back to stock and do 200+ key starts so it clears the tune from the ECU.
HE knows more then everyone else.
