I had my entire decklid Xpel'd with the wing mounts off after I had the holes painted by my body shop. Moving forward, I plan to use some self adhesive (one side only) neoprene gasket material to form a seal around the holes. I will examine this a bit closer and experiment with a possible gasket for the entire wing mount. I will post my findings.

On a side note, the photos of my brackets appear to have some kind of clear coat on the O ring. I believe this is from either installation of the wing mounts with not enough cure time or the glue that was used to secure the O rimg to the mount was excessive. I believe it is the clear coat that was applied at penske not having enough time to cure.

Attached are a few photos of my mounts and some of the material I plan to use to form a seal.

@Goose17 did you let the silicone dry?

On another note has anyone remove the base wing to see if those holes are raw steel also?

Great job as usual.
As you saw in the video, I put the silicone around each bolt hole and then around the perimeter of the wing support bracket. I then bolted it into position wet and let it cure in place.

I like to disassemble things.

Looks like somebody applied contact cement to both the mount and portions of the o-ring to hold it in place.

I ended up with quite a few comments that the rear deck lid was aluminum and would not corrode. Here is a follow-up short video:

I thought it was aluminum, but aluminum will corrode over time, but not like steel.
