They claim the discount is automatic and not accurate. Essentially their internet department has zero clue whats going on. They just want clicks and site visits, then both departments blame one another and the customer is left frustrated

Yeah, there were two sites claiming below list. One has already changed their add after I checked in. The other didn't respond (or at least hasn't yet responded) when i told them I want an e-mail with the OTD price in my zip code.

This is just what’s on auto trader. Plus what dealers have that don’t advertise there.

There's 800+ 2020 GT500's new and used out there. With 2021 around the corner, I think there will be a deal or two.

All subjective. One of the reasons some cars sell for more than MSRP is that they punch above their weight. This was absolutely true for the 350R and seems to be true for the 500CFTP. The AMG GTR Pro is sexy as hell but it's also $200k. Is it twice the speed of a 500CFTP? I know there's more to it than that but that's just one way people can (subjectively) legitimize spending more than MSRP for certain cars. If the price was the same, I'd be all over the AMG but at the price point of the CFTP (even if it was 130k), it would be/is attractive.

PS - BAM, turned this into an ADM thread! ;) :)
Well tbf the market determines the price.. right now its over sticker. Could change but it might not. Bottom line you want one now you pay the market rate for anything. No one complains when you buy an f150 for 10k off msrp, its no different thats what they can sell them for.

Keep in mind that even though an inbound order has been spoken for, it still shows up on dealers websites and other sources as available for purchase. This is usually the case and when I asked my dealerhip to remove my listing, they said "we know its yours, the ads bring more people in and we sell more cars".

I ordered a new truck back in May and it showed up on the sealer website so I do understand you but I also know what I see. That is 3 GT500's on average with ADMs sitting at just about every dealership in the metro available. I think one of these dealerships will blink.

Mine was as well — from the time I ordered my GT500 until it was delivered (almost 6 months). They did the same thing on my GT350 back in 2016 and it was listed for about 9 months that time. Helps them create traffic.

My son just sold his 2016 GT350 track package with 6,100 miles on it for $46,500. He paid $43,000 for it used about 1.5 years ago with 3,000 miles on it. So for him, the car appreciated. He bought it at a dealership and traded it in on a new F-150 platinum.

My Ford dealer noted he has a 2020 GT500 golden ticket coming in for trade, less than 500mi, $112,000. PM me if you want more details.

Yep. Still only 1% of the 2020 GT500s but definitely quite a few more listed than normal.
