If your talking about buying in the Spring than new 2019's are going to be pretty scarce. Ford will probably have 0% financing in March for 2020's. You may find a good deal on top of that but it is still going to be more than buying 2019 now. Besides there are green ones available now. Here are 5 within 200 miles of Chicago.

The guys are right. If you want the best deal, do now. What real difference is it if you drive it this winter or next?

If you really want green, I'd just get the green man. No use in settling if you won't be satisfied after dropping a bunch of money down on a car.

I really wanted an Orange Fury 2018 but I settled for a 2016 ingot silver because it was a great deal.

While I love my car, I still want a 18-19 Orange Fury

This is my eternal struggle every time I buy a car. I want that discount, but nobody has the color I want. I actually compromised this time. I wanted Lightening Blue with 101A, which nobody within 1000 miles had at the time. Kona Blue, it is.
There is no need to struggle. If you can do it buy a new car. Order what you want ,order the color, and sit back you can still deal when the car is delivered. You want it and they want to sell it to you. There is a lot of room to deal. I did this with my last 4 Mustangs.

Buy the car you want, don’t even think about wraps: they are garbage in longevity, and don’t have the depth beauty of paint.

I wouldn’t repaint a car either, just buy what you want even if cost you more.

If you Find a leftover in your color do it. I got my 34k sticker car brand new for 23k otd. It was grabber blue and evidently no one wanted it, had 2 in showroom.

2020 GT+PP1 are on lots and already advertised at 12% off so right now the key is it's the end of the season and dealers are getting anxious to move inventory, any inventory. As a buyer you're solidly in the driver's seat.

So after 2 years in a f150 I no longer have a need for a truck and am looking at mustangs again.

a 20 mustang lime green with 401a is like 42 with x plan which seems so high for a mustang . Only new thing I see is rev matching

Am I better off getting a 19 and wrapping it green if that’s what I want?

buying after Chicago winter
My advice is to buy exactly the car you want with the options you want. Dont compromise on that.

The 2020 basically fixed ALL of the issues and gripes they had on the previous years, like its night and day compared to the 2019s.

A 19 isnt gonna be cheap then add 4k for a wrap job... I dont know if thats worth it to be honest.

If you got cash or half decent credit just get a 2016-17 gt350. You can get them under 10k miles for 45- mid 50s now. Used financing interest rates are a tad higher but it breaks down to under 100.00 per month extra...

Financing a 2020 at 42k not the best move when u could have a gt350 for 48k...

If you arent set on the 2020, dude the 2015-2017s are still amazing cars! I see them going as low as 17k now. You can get literally any option or color and low mileage. You want for mid 20s...

And the 2015-17s are pretty stout cars, the issues are well documented and a lot of the 2018 parts are cheap bolton upgrades for them...

It won't make as much power NA as the 18+ cars but we aren't talking 100s of hp difference it's not a 4.6 vs coyote type difference. The 2015+ still have a badass motor

Why are you recommending a 15-17 or GT350. OP wants a newer car and he wants Green.

because OP doesnt want to pay new car prices and opened the door that hes ok, with buying a left over and wrapping it...

Plus if you're going to go used to save money the previous generation are the cars to buy... You can buy a 2015-2017 with a blower for less than a stock 19-20...

Lol, maybe your right. Sitting in a hotel room waiting for my wife. That will do it to you. I’m sure the day will get better. Coffee time:rockon::handshake:

All better!!!!

The 18, 19 and 20 are identical. There is zero difference between them. You would assume ford ironed out any “glitch” it had with the car through the years but there’s no confirmation to that, that’s just par for the course. My advice is get a 19 and negotiate big on it. The “green” color you want in my opinion like any color is not worth an additional $5-$6k lost from negotiation due to the number being 20 instead of 19. Get a fully loaded 2019 PP1 if you can. You can easily get $6k off with out trying if you go to a big enough dealership with enough on the lot. I got almost $8k off my fully loaded manual 18PP1 with Magneride when I got it at the end of June 2018. Sticker was just about $51k. I got it for right under $43k. So keep looking but sometimes you have to make personal compromises with color or an option you wanted. For example I got lucky finding my car but I wanted red interior. I compromised and took black. I’m very happy I did because I now see red is way harder to maintain. Also remember this, the more “loaded” a car is the more you can negotiate the value. The cost of those options are minimal compared to what they are charging. The base models have much less wiggle room.
