I got the Bemaro wheel PPF for the carbon wheels . Going to try to put this stuff on this week. Thanks to Goose for posting a video about putting this stuff on , very helpful.

Got it up on the quick jack for the first time. The rubber blocks are deforming pretty good I think I need stiffer blocks.


I have the blocks on the pinch weld. If you guys see anything I’m doing wrong let me know

I don’t like that front block is sinking in so much to the pinch weld

I just realize like a total idiot I have my quick Jack’s facing the wrong direction. Oh well not gonna delete my post , everybody make stupids mistakes. Learn from my error . I’m gonna switch it now.

You’re going to get about 45 different opinions, but I highly recommend picking these up on Amazon. They are very inexpensive, they attached by magnets to your pinch weld, then can sit flat on your blocks and you will never cut blocks again.

Oh yeah those are money dude I’m ordering them. Good looking out. Look a little sketchy on these blocks to be honest. I don’t like screwing around with cars on lifts that aren’t 100% correct.

Back in the day I yanked the transmission out of a 93 mustang for a clutch swap on a hill on jackstands just underneath the car kicking the bell housing off the motor. Looking back that was probably one of the stupidest things I’ve ever done. Definitely would never do that shit again !

I’ll never forget the time when I was 16 years old working on my 1967 Mustang in the driveway. I jacked it up and used a cinderblock as a jackstand. I was banging away on something that I don’t remember for a good while. I got up and was walking away from the car when the cinderblock gave out and the car came crashing to the ground. That along with about 100 other stupid things I did in my life it’s a miracle I’m still here.

I know there are pictograms or something showing where to jack up, however, I believe they are too far back given the balance of the car. The car has a 56/44 front/rear weight distribution. The fact you've got the entire front end, engine, transmission, etc. hanging out in front of the quick jack would make me very uncomfortable. There is a MASSIVE bending moment on the front joint and beam of that jack stand since most of the weight is cantilevered out in front of the jack stand. I bet you could lift the back of the car without much trouble with where you have it jacked.

Here me out for a minute: If you jacked the car up at the front and rear tires, you'd have 56% of the weight on the front jacks. Moving that point rearward shifts the weight the front jack stand carries higher and higher the further back you go until you pass the center of mass and the car falls forward. It looks like your front jack pad is about 36" behind the centerline of the front tire. Given the center of weight of the car is 44% of the length of the wheelbase behind the front axle, or ~47" behind the front axle, I estimate 90% of the weight of the car is resting on the front of the jack stand.

That is NOT a safe condition. The jack stand is likely designed to have the weight more equally distributed between front and rear contact locations. 90% of 4,060 lbs (CFTP weight) is 3,654 lbs, or nearly a ton on each front pad. I highly recommend shifting the jack forward some and adding additional jack stands under the front structure for safety.

Yeah I hear you man I don’t like it either. I have the lifting pads exactly at the pinch weld Jack sites that are recommended. I am taking it down now

Down safe . I’m gonna have to find a safer way to jack this thing up. I did not have any problems with my Corvette or my GT 350.
