2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 1

Still aggravated, the PR cars are retail yes? None ordered before me, none originally scheduled ahead of me.


As for the gt350 and new colors, that tells me this is a coverup from Ford. Maybe not cover up, but easy excuse for something else. We with the good colors just got screwed.

Something else delayed it, and by making it about colors, allowed them to partition color builds as they did, and provide a story.

I respect you a lot love to see your post I do have to take exception to one part of your post which is very rare for your post, I think we all who ordered one think we got a good color otherwise we would have not ordered it. Color is such a personal preference. Though I understand your frustration you ordered early so having to wait is a pain. I was one of the first to order a new ranger first day order banks opened but had to wait extra long because they just did not do the red hot chili pepper color early for whatever reason. Ordered a Rapid Red GT500 and got lucky that they are building them early.

Agreed color is 100% personal preference, I know I can down the color list and make an arguement for almost every color and why it will be the "best" color on this Shelby.

I think everyone is getting frustrated with the VIN and build process. Hopefully we start getting more VINs, production picks up and we can all get our respective cars in the garage and on the road in the near future!

Out of the 5 Puerto Rico cars (Export) that are in production 3 are Stock and 2 are Retail and 4 have been Produced and 1 has been Sent to Plant.
Where did you read that the 2020 GT350's were being treated differently when it comes to colors?
There are 9 VINs that are lower than yours that are not in production.
There are a lot of people that ordered on the first day and are still waiting for a VIN. I ordered on the first day, base car, Oxford White and CF Instrument Panel, still no VIN.

There are 1170 Stock and Retail VINs
66 have been Sent to Plant
27 are in the Body Shop
8 are on the Trim Line
51 have been Produced
7 VINs have been Cancelled
1011 have been Scheduled to a week or a day.
37 Work days (assuming 4 day work week) until Christmas holiday shutdown.
UAW will decide if the plant shuts down before Christmas.

Facts will back you up on that one. I have noticed that a lot of the new VINs that are in production are CFTP cars. There seems to be a big push on those cars.

Can't tell if that car has the CFT pkg, but will continue to look for a clue.

For some reason, Ford is building GT500's in other colors, just not for USA or Canadian customers.

Other colors were built/in process prior to restriction to the 4 colors.

Edit: Tomorrow is allegedly my "blend date" so what should I expect to see on the data dump, Earl..."Sent to Body Shop?" I'll be up at zero dark thirty as I usually am so I'll be checking that link starting around 0700 CST as I don't know when the folks at Flat Rock start the first shift on Mondays. Midnight perhaps? 0600, 0800?
