2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 1

Removed the factory stripes. They were way darker than depicted on the Ford build site(see photo below) and I didn’t like how the factory stripes didn’t wrap around the hood, bumpers and finish around the spoiler.

That looks 1000x better and is the appropriate shade of blue for oxford white.

$875 for the removal and installation of the stripes. The installer supplied the stripes

Sounds like a good option for the guys that didn't order stripes, especially if they didn't like the factory color selection and fit or were disappointed with the delivered color, like yourself.

Brand new member here but I’m trying to get in the game. I know I’m coming late to the party but couldn’t do it last summer, now I can. Working with a dealer that has one ordered. At what point can they no longer change the order. It’s not what I want and hate to pay that if it’s not. Any help is appreciated.

Most dealers don’t like to change the order once it is submitted to and accepted by the factory but they can still change it up until the VIN is assigned. Once the VIN is assigned changes can’t be made. It will be very, very difficult to find an open allocation this late. I suggest you try to find one that someone decides to drop their order or wait for a dealership to come down on the ADM on their showroom floor queen at the end of the model year.

Thanks but this allocation is available. They tell me it’s scheduled for late Feb and too late to change it. Is that true? Not sure if it has a VIN yet. If I can convince them to update the order, if it’s not too late, I’ll have one.

I think that once the status is listed as Unscheduled Clean you can no longer change the order, but this is a guess on my part. Once the VIN has been issued, the order is locked in and can't be changed.

@ Finch, It is probably too late. My build week is 3/9 and i have a VIN. Yours being in Feb, i am sure they have the VIN. You should ask them for the VIN and then check it in the VIN search to see what your order will have on it.

Hey Earl, is there a way to see my status from ford even though I don't have a vin yet. Do I need the dealer code to do this and if so do you know the code for Access Ford in Tx. I was told by dealer on Tuesday my order
was finalized ( they got the allocation) and should get picked up and get a vin# with in the next 2 weeks. Thanks again for all you do for all of us who love Mustangs.
