Very and well done. What is interesting is the size of the CAI tube. The aftermarket is going to have a field day with that. I am also surprised at the close box. Perhaps Ford took noticed on boosted GT350's and such with whipples and a closed box..

I said the gt350 cai causes hood lift. Which it absolutely does.

Hack jokingly said he has to lift his hood manually.

I guess it went over your head.

The general design [S550 platform, in any flavor] of the hood, grill, intake, vents, etc., all contribute to hood lift. I got it at higher-ish speeds in a bone stock GT (with a completely closed OEM airbox).

Understood.
But the cai on the gt350 add way more additional hood lift. Even with the R restrictor grille plate.

I've never noticed any issues with my hood moving around at higher speeds, but I only get to those speeds on track and I'm busy looking at the track rather than my hood. So who knows, maybe my hood does move somewhat. I can say hood movement has never alarmed me and I haven't adjusted it at all.

I was joking before, but in all seriousness I don't see a CAI adding much if any lift to the hood. How much pressure do you think there's going to be inside the CAI versus other areas under the hood?

All I know is when I had my GT350 at 166mph the hood was not lifting or jumping around any noticeable amount.

I did adjusted the rubber stops on the hood so they actually made some contact with the hood helping the hood from moving some. Prior to adjusting them, the hood did have a little play in it.
