Tom: I have thick skin so no worries, just a rookie mistake by not paying attention to detail. :-)

Roger on everything you said about the track, tires, etc., definitely important and the shorter track does not lend itself to the 500 as you said. Still, pretty amazing times even without knowing more facts.

And BTW, I fixed the post above and the video. <bigger grin>
Lol, just joking around.

I must say, you are the master of graphics editing.

So back to knowing a whole let less than we did before...…. (which wasn't much). Anybody ever ascertain the CFTP weight yet (officially)?
Not really officially.
I believe it is 4090.

Thanks for the compliment my friend but I'm about a light year away from "master." <smiling widely> But it is a hobby that I enjoy although I do prefer editing stills over videos.

I'll get it under 4, and that's with a roll cage.
Which AG battery are you going with and will it be good for taking it out all day on cruise as well as track? Do you tender your battery when it’s parked?

I have the ATX-20-HD. It weighs 5 pounds. The stock battery is almost 30 pounds. I only plan to use it for track events for weight reduction. Others have used the ATX-20-HD in cold temps with no battery maintainer with no issues. My ATX-20-HD is currently installed in one of my GT350Rs for an upcoming track weekend. The battery tray was provided to me by @Antigravity Batteries for evaluation. So far, I am impressed with everything.

I plan to do a full write up after the battery and mount have been evaluated. Recently I installed the battery and had to build a prototype adapter plate out of wood. I am waiting on some new material to refabricate an adapter plate out of a non combustionable material. It probably doesnt matter, the least of my worries would be a piece of wood catching on fire should a lithium battery let go, lol. However it still has to pass tech inspection at the track.

So here ya go, a sneak peek of what it looks like mounted.

Thanks, I just saw a post where the guy got the Certificate of Origin for his base 500. I think he said the shipping weight was 4081 or something. This weight is for a base 500. That should be all fluids and a near empty tank. Top the tank off from a few gallons and that would be an extra 50#. Hmm, I wonder what the CFTP will be. Here is what a CO looks like. This is from JR357, one of my Rs

I like to disassemble things.
I asked my dealer to see my COO too. Interested to see as I'd think it would be an exact match for weight. But yeah, can't wait to see a CFTP weight on a certificate.

I've never asked for one. Hmm. With all the people who have connections around here, Im surprised nobody has gotten one. If I was getting a CFTP, I'd want to know.

those people with connections dont really have said connections. As said in the adm thread, some people will never admit they paid adm. Also, I dont give a damn if someone says they have 20 or 30 year relationship with a dealership, those guys are in it to make money, some are actually good and dont care about adm and wont ever get a gt500. But if they can get 5k and up on top of MSRP with the money doing straight to dealership, you bet your ass the dealership will do what's in their best interest. If people need proof, just look at the old gt350/R adm threads. People were calling hundreds of dealers and ordering out of state, several states out.

Tom: If you have or have access to a decent band saw, based on your photo, I'd think it would be fairly easy to notch out a block of soft plastic for the permanent piece.
Way ahead of you. That was just a prototype.

Are you starting to recycle your avatars?
Tom: As promised, I ginned up an image with all the avatars to date. Turned out to be 138. No plans on recycling, at least not yet.

Here they are...

But you'll need to use <Ctr><+> and <Ctrl><-> to zoom in and out.
