I like to disassemble things.
You sure that's a GT350R? Zooming in on some screen caps and it sure as heck looks like a Gurney flap I see there...

Lol, I was looking closely at the same time as you Tom. You're right about the wheels too.

But the front fender is unmistakably GT350 so very weird wonder if it’s some type of mule.

So back to knowing a whole let less than we did before...…. (which wasn't much). Anybody ever ascertain the CFTP weight yet (officially)?

Admittedly, I didn't look that close at the rear of the 350, just thought it was an "R" from the previous discussions. But, I doubt an "R" would make up three and a half seconds or more although that's purely a guess not backed by any info other than that's a lot of time to make up.

Nobody is being critical of you (I'll start that phrase on all my posts anymore so that I dont hurt people's feelings). Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Now that we got the sensitivity part of it out of the way, tires and wheels are the biggest thing that sets the R and standard 350 apart. Yes there are other things, and the latest aero differences have closed the gap due to the swing. Throw in some suspension differences and weight reduction and thats about it. So, the tires and wheels look stock. So that would mean the R would be faster than the car shown in the video.

The roadcourse doesnt really lend itself to enable the 500 to stand out as if it was on a fast wide open course like VIR. So the differences between the 500 vs 350R vs 350 will not be that great. Furthermore, nobody knows what each driver is up to or if they are going flat out (10/10). None of this data is worth much unless you know what is going on with each driver and each car. Who knows? Some kind of testing requiring track time, but not at 10/10ths?

These cars will be (eventually) released. Until then, all this is just guessing.

Tom: I have thick skin so no worries, just a rookie mistake by not paying attention to detail. :-)

Roger on everything you said about the track, tires, etc., definitely important and the shorter track does not lend itself to the 500 as you said. Still, pretty amazing times even without knowing more facts.

And BTW, I fixed the post above and the video. <bigger grin>
