I was checking out a few YouTube videos and ran across one of speed phenom's new videos and he was checking out new GT500's in a couple of So Cal dealers and ran across this Magnetic Met car with an odd antenna on the roof. Hopefully this is not the new standard.

Here is my take on the seat question.

If you ordered you car before 02/03/2020 you will get Recaro or the Standard Sports seats (Leather/Miko Suede). If you ordered on or after 02/03/2020, you will get the new Standard Sports seats (Cloth/Miko Suede) or Recaro seats (Leather/Miko Suede). The Leather/Miko Suede seats will be an option (88B) on or after 02/03/2020. All orders placed before 02/03/2020 will not be affected by the change.
Basically the only seats affected are the Standard Sports Seats. The Recaro Sport Seats stay the same.
That is the only thing that makes any since to me.
The wording is a bit strange, but I think the change over is when the car is built, not when ordered. Since production just restarted this month, its likely all the 2020 builds may fall under this change....whatever it really is. :fingerscrossed:

Interesting. Well we’ll see what happens. Seems like Ford is handling this about as well as the camber plates with the handling package *eye roll*

Unless I am reading this wrong, this is exactly how they have been building the cars all this time.

Correct, this is what made me decide that if Ford is suppling accurate information about the new seat situation, it is dependent on the ordering date.

I talked to a dealer today about this, and he said that the current order guide does not reflect the information in this thread nor does the ordering system. If this holds true, you will get what is on your VOC and DORA.

Here is a copy of my VOC. The car has not been built yet, but I can guarantee it will have Leather Trimmed Sport seats.

I like to disassemble things.

The Order Guide means squat.

Regarding plates, the original Order Guide (when I ordered on 7/1/19) listed two items for the Handling Package - splitter wickers and a Gurney Flap. It was later revised to include the oil separator. It'll be revised again to reflect the information listed in the document dropped on dealers yesterday.

So are you saying the new seat information is going to be tied to order date or build date?

Nope. I'm only commenting on the camber plate debacle they created.

Most running changes at the plant are based solely on build date. They give the parts to the line and tell them to switch over at a certain date and move all leftovers to the parts dept. That way they know exactly what left the plant on each car.
The marketing materials catch up later. Glad to see the document Epiphany found gives us some insight.

Concerning the new roof mounted satellite antenna, it is now standard on all Mustangs.
The car in the picture I posted was produced on 02/03/2020. From the build date of this car, I assume all the GT500's built this year will have this antenna.

For those of you not familiar with the two satellites providing this service, they are getting a bit old and tired. Ford is getting a lot of complaints about weak or dropped service. This style antenna is a bit higher gain and has been used as a service item on other vehicles when people complain.
Might as well get used to it.

The new one has far better aero and will allow a top speed of well over 200mph.

That's the only reason I am not whining about it.
