Unless they are using the GT350 body (GT350 Hood, GT350 Side Fender vents, GT350 Rear valance, 15-17 Tail lights and GT350 quad exhausts smaller than the GT500 pictures) on the GT500 this is what I think:

“Facelifted” (literally, just “face” upgrade  with the GT500 front end) GT350 at the bottom and GT500 at the top. Also, if the picture from the interior is from the one of the video, it would make sense since it’s a GT350....

It might be an earlier GT350 based test-mule using the Predator Engine though... maybe that’s a test mule and the one at the top is the prototype with the DCT.

I wouldn't read too much into the taillights on a test mule. I believe the 15-17 and 18-19 taillights are interchangeable.

It's looking like we might see a revised GT350 along with the GT500 which would be really cool. Fingers crossed a manual with rev matching is the base transmission for both cars with a DCT option.

The car in the video isn't NA.
How do we know that ?

I don't see a hood similar to the other car (hood bulge). I see a GT350 hood.

That's not to say something couldn't be under there.

Because they're not testing a CPC car with a mule Shelby body.

You didn't answer his question though......is there a 5.2 CPC N/A car coming? :gossip:

:D
What if the GT350 swapped from FPC to a 5.2L CPC NA with DI? While it wouldn't be as unique as the FPC it probably would be cheaper to build with similar performance. Just a thought...

Hmmm, but the FPC is the GT350's unique selling point. Whilst, personally, I'd welcome a CPC n/a 5.2, I'd want it in something other than a GT350.

Why not ?

How do we know that ?

What is Ford running in the GT4 now ?

That mule Shelby body has a GT350 hood and the revised (GT500) front fascia.

Complete decoy ? Maybe.

So... basically it's a "GT350 based mule" used only to test the Predator Engine, right?

on the other hand the car in the pictures that's the GT500 Prototype for sure.

The predator engine minus the blower.

That's the question.

I don't think so, honestly.

It's possible that they retrofited the Predator to a GT350 body just to validate some "engine" stuff some time ago and maybe this is one of the cars used for that (hence, the reason it uses a manual transmission and not the DCT).
