I could be wrong but I never saw a GT 350 produced in the same year as a GT500.. unless Ford changes its policy ( it could happen anything possible )
except of course for 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970......

Since the rebirth of the GT350 in 2015 this is the first build of a GT500 with the new platform.... (for the record Ford did badge a GT350 in 1984 but it was just a GT with a sticker package and not an independent model)

News flash guys FORD Executives has already publicly stated that GT350s will be sold alongside of GT500s in 2019.

Ford is just being coy with the dates: they state 2019. So 2019 as in calendar year or 2019 as in Model Year?

In the current issue of Mustang Times (MCA publication) a Ford Exec has stated for the first time: 2019 MY for both--interesting if that holds true (or did the MCA editor, Donald Farr, get a lax in writing copy?).

Thus the anticipation is for a very late run of 2019 MY GT350s and GT500s in the spring of 2019 (after the cold weather ends) before moving into a larger 2020MY production run. Ford also could do a mid-model year release with GT350s and GT500s coming out briefly in the fall before the winer cold shut down. My bets are on the late 2019MY spring release.

Looks more updated GT350 than GT500 to me. May be the camo but doesn't seem "shouty" enough.

I think the same thing.

It is supposed to be a GT350R on steroids, it's design has been done for quite some time. Think evolution vs revolution in terms of aesthetics.

Heck it was pretty much just stickers that differentiated a 67 GT350 from the 500

Sweet 2015 ecoboost.

God I hate Ford for using the old headlights.

So itll be 5 years newer than a 2015 which 1st used them but yet base model cars will get the 2018+ front end.

Massive Fail.

Nope- Nothing is official until the press release comes out. And that won't happen until a public unveiling.
Away from home- will post later tonight as to the name of the Ford Executive who was interviewed in Mustang Times. This interview also backs up the video of a Ford Exec giving a presentation and noting both cars...2019 thrown about in that video'd presentation but the door open as to interpretation of the comments made as to calendar year or model year. The Mustang Times interview quite clearly states Model Years....Don Farr is a sharp guy...but....a misquote is always possible. But don't forget the Mustang 55th birthday in April 17, 2019 so a late 2019 model release of the Shelbys is a clear possibility.

This also takes into account that FORD will not build these during the winter snow season so time is getting tight to account Ordering guides, allocations etc.... for a short fall 2019 run.....

This also allows for the initial release of the Bullitt to be sold without competition aka more ADMS for dealers (gift money for good prior sales).

Understandable but newer isn't always better. Not to mention all the functional advantages of this "old" design. I wonder do Raptor owners complain about not having the newest F150 headlights?

What's there to complain about when it looks fine and is the baddest truck on the market.

It will be the same thing for the GT500, this car is going to put a hurting on the street and track.

My money on ford keeping the old headlights is because IIRC that front clip has more room under the hood than the 2018+

Just wait next Ford will go back to quad head lights and well call it the 2025 4 eyed fox.:headbonk:

If that thing handles anything like a 350 AND has more power, you guys won't complain once you get behind the wheel :)

Also, look what camaro just did...wtf is that thing?!?! Sometimes a little class is ok
