Today I was out cruising around the Valley of the Sun with my 2018 R model when I came across an individual that had just taken delivery of a Twister Orange GT500 with that car arriving in late December to his dealership and with this same car being assembled at the FRAP earlier in December as well.
IMO that was outstanding transit and delivery time for him to already be driving his car in early January with a recent build in December.
After some discussions I took note of his chassis number which was "L03XX" which indicates that Ford has not produced many GT500's up to this point based on a December build.
Shortly after taking note of his chassis number the owner shows me a picture of another chassis number which reads "CS00XX" with this CFTP optioned GT500 apparently being delivered to one of the first 50 VIP individuals that Ford has chosen for a GT500 allocation.
Regarding the VIP allocated cars it has been my understanding that the first 50 GT500 VIP cars will have their chassis number match their VIN number as was only the case with the 2015 GT350 Track Pack, Tech Pack and R model cars.
Based on the above scenario will the 2 seat GT500 CFTP optioned cars have a different chassis number sequence versus a Base GT500 vehicle which is certainly the case with the GT350 and GT350R's or will their be just a separate chassis number sequence for the first 50 VIP cars regardless of whether it is a 2 seat or 4 seat GT500?
