It's behind the local strip mall where most dumpsters are supposed to hangout....
Here is a Camaro coming out from behind the dumpster and devouring a Mustang

I'm getting signals that GM may have changed the launch order from what they did in C7. For C7 it was Stingray then Z06 (widebody and SC) then Grand Sport (widebody), but now it's looking like C8 might be Stingray (2020) then Grand Sport (2021, widebody with eAWD!!) then Z06 (2022 widebody with 5.5L FPC).

The "very soon" would be Grand Sport in 3rd or 4th quarter of 2020.
That makes perfect sense given IMSA's homologation rules. 2022 model year would be the latest available to Chevrolet for Z06 5.5FPC, given that C8.R makes it's official debut this week @ Rolex 24.

I'm putting off retiring a year or two so that I might be able to own/afford that car. My beautiful wife has given me the green light... That's 3/4 of the battle.

My aplogies to M6 members that may have been insulted by this post, though it is a bit off topic, that is not my intent.

Disclaimer; I was at Road Atlanta 10/11-13. Not only to see the track debut of the C8.R, but to specifically see the last GTLM race that included the Ford GTLM and C7.R. As a fan of USA's position in international GT racing, I will miss the C7.R, a dinosaur as the last FE GTLM. I most certainly will, and It is my belief that all fans of IMSA GT will not only miss Ford's participation but especially bemoan the loss of the Ford GT in GTLM class.....Even Ferrari.

Can't ignore the fact the C8 is faster 0-100. For 99% of the drivers this is the speed range they will be driving in day to day.

Um...no. 99% of all drivers don't stop, do a burnout, engage launch control and floor it from 0-100. 99% of drivers won't be flooring these cars from a stop....they will be flooring it while already in motion.

You are new here. Yes, they ignore facts here. It is all about "feelings"

I can’t believe this thread is still going. Guys let it go, GT500 is great, C8 corvette is great, enough said. The last 100+ pages prove it.
Kill joy. Let's keep her going until the Z06 gets here. Who's with me?

Yep same thing vs say a Z06 (where on paper from a 0-60 launch the C8 base car is faster than a C7 Z06). The reality is unless you are completely stopped and using launch control the C8 will not have the advantage. Come on guys a lot of this is just horsepower and torque to weight, it's not magical.

The C8 shines due to its gearing and being able to put the power down better because it's mid engine with power going to the rear wheels vs front engine, RWD.

If you are in a C8 and try to race a Z06 or GT500 or ZR1 from a roll it's a likely different outcome. GM is touting the 0-60 times because it's in the C8's sweet spot. There is no free lunch the C8 Z51 has worse braking and skid pad numbers than the C7 Z51.

C8 is faster when tested using minimal testing measures and by random people self admittedly not going for maximum performance on completely different days/conditions

The gt500 will destroy it in the real.world
