Thanks!

Hope to do so! I was all set to go to the track on Friday this week (Black Friday) but the brake pedal recall put a damper in my plans. I know the chances of something happening are slim, but better to be safe than sorry.
That was definitely the right call. Happy Thanksgiving!

Snapped some pics of my new enclosed trailer as well as the new work we just finished up to store said trailer at home instead of 30 minutes away at a buddy’s house.

Car fits great and the trailer tows phenomenally well.

That Christmas present to yourself that you hope you never have to use but will be glad you got it!

Mounted and installed my Signature Wheel full size spare for my 2020 GT500 and it test fits great. Test drove and all is well.

Knowing that if I am on a road trip or extended drive that I won’t have to rely on roadside rescue, have to use the goo, or depend on a tire shop who knows where to work on my signature wheels is a real piece of mind. Thank you Terrance at Signature for getting this done!

It’s a 20”x8” wheel with a 235/35R20 tire (about 26.5” diameter) a 235/40R20 is almost spot on for factory diameter however it’s not likely to fit inside the spare tire well, hence why I chose the smaller diameter. A 27” diameter tire might fit. It’s a real tire, XL load rating so you can still drive like normal. It fits front and rear with no clearance or potential rubbing issues.

Researching with Torsen, shows something that is less than 5% diameter difference should be no problem for emergency use on the differential if mounted in the rear.

It sits in the well but does sit 1.5”-2” high. You can throw the factory cover over it, I plan on modifying something but in the mean time the Lloyds may going over it works very well to disguise the hump as best as possible.

I will be acquiring a compact jack and already have a collapsible tire iron and nylon sided socket for emergency wheel removal and install.

Happy with this little gift to myself.

Nice work. I was able to select a tire that will fit inside the wheel well thanks to you.

Finally finished my project I started a few weeks ago. Since my chosen tire size fits in the well but is still over the top of the well for height I wanted to secure it in better.

I bought some threaded rod and coupler and adapted the floor holder to the new spare.

I double nutted where I could (could not on the bottom side for clearance reasons and used blue thread locker.

the end result is an anchor that goes perfectly through the wheel with center cap removed.

I punched a whole in a microfiber to try and protect the wheel some and then put a wheel blanket cover it.

Put my Lloyds trunk mat down over the top of it and it’s ready to rock and roll. Easy removal for track days and an actual emergency when the spare might need to be used still.

a good size suitcase or 2 still fits over the top of the wheel in the trunk.

Another small update.

Installed 5 Spurs Ford GT style shifter dial and aluminum Engine Start Stop Button.

Super happy with the quality of these parts and the aesthetic change in the interior.

I like little touches like this that look factory but set the car apart from others and improve the experience as you touch them every time you drive.
