Alpin PA4's are amazing but they don't make them in the GT350R sizes. I'm in NJ and was forced to take off the PSC2 for Cooper Zeon's RS3 (305 square set up) which I'm very happy with so far. I'm def the only HEP R in the state driving all-year round (with the CF wheels). Part of the reason I love this car so much is the joy/shock people get from just seeing one in person --especially when it's 20 degrees out. lol
I put the 295 square Alpin PA4s on my HEP R and they work just great! I'll put back on the CFs/SC2s come spring/summer.

Ah good to know. I didn't think you could take the rear's from 315 to 295. The only thing I don't like about the CF wheels is they are a pain in the butt to clean. Not sure who came up with that white material in the front but I do the best I can without taking the rim off.

Yeah, I also wish the CF wheels were exposed, not painted over...like the GT500 track pack.

THERMAL BARRIER COATING

In order to shield the wheel from the extreme brake temperatures generated during track use, Carbon Revolution turned to aerospace technology. For decades ceramic coatings have been used to treat aircraft engine components, such as turbine blades, which are also subject to extreme heat. Using similar methods, Carbon Revolution developed its own ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating (TBC) using a multi-layer, proprietary formulation that creates excellent thermal resistance. This coating is applied to the inner wheel barrels and to the back of the spokes using a plasma arc process to liquefy the ceramic material. The result is a thin, ultra-tough coating that reduces wheel temperatures and allows continuous track use by even the most aggressive drivers.

First carbon fiber parts are ordered.

Ordered the Anderson composites rear diffuser.
And the Anderson composites rear decklid.

cjpony parts had 8% off for Presidents’ Day.

if they carried the gt350 vented hood I wanted I would have bought that also.

I am also ordering the front and rear bumper as well as the front fenders from speedkore. But I can’t place order until 2 months because of backlog. Once I place order they are 10-12 weeks out. So call it 20 weeks till I get that stuff in.

my build will be mostly done by then leaving the carbon to be added at the very end. We will be paint matching everything. Might do a little design in the paint that will show some of the carbon exposed. Like a skin rip type of thing or something simple a clean. Plenty of time for ideas.

Ran Homestead on Saturday. Much faster track.

had a good time with my dad.

Didn’t enjoy the chin program very much though. It was just all friggin day to only get an cumulative hour of racing in.

then you had allot of traffic in the groups we were in. So when your trying to run for good lap times and your in pace to beat a previous lap. You hit a slow car and they kill you on a couple sections and then boom you wasted that lap.

so it was fun to drive the track and experience homestead. But from a competitive standpoint trying to get faster and better yourself, it was disappointing.

hopefully other events will be more competitive when it comes to measuring lap times.

they should be here between 4-6 weeks.

just need to order the vented hood to complete the carbon setup.

I also purchased the front and rear window From optic armor.

I’ve got the borla Atak exhaust installed. Went smoothly. Just gotta get the wheels back in tomorrow and take it for a drive. Will be able to give my feedback on drivability after.

took weight measurements for everyone.

Stock exhaust with hangars and exhaust valves is approximately 60lbs

borla Atak with hangars and exhaust valves is approximately 53.5 lbs

total 6.5lb weight savings

Spoke with Auto Blip. There appears to be some differences with the 2020 models that doesn’t allow the use of their module.

Here is what they said. Not sure if anyone has a 2020 running one of these that can chime in.

Hello Phillip,

Thank you for your AUTO-BLiP order.

We are finding out that at least for the 2020 GT350R, Ford maybe using a different accelerator pedal unit that is not compatible with our unit. This information is coming from a few customers.

We know the unit works with previous years accelerator pedals so swapping the pedal unit is an option. The accelerator pedal unit is a plug and play option.

Either way, please let us know if you still would like us to ship the unit over or cancel your order.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Andres

Call Xineering ask for Ken. They programmed mine and works great. It's diff than autoblip as it doesn't have dial controls it's all set through their main unit using my computer. I can set the blip % and duration. And since we have the same car they have a baseline (assuming they have done others since i ordered) Ken Morse | 407-542-4848 (Office).

Got the shaft in. Went in like a breeze. All
Tightened up.

took weights for everyone to keep track of.
I didn’t add the bolts to the stock shaft scale. But they add 1/2 a lb.

So total weight of stock shaft is 31

total weight of carbon shaft is 20 lbs

that’s an 11 lbs weight savings on the driveshaft. That’s gonna feel nice and smooth through the driveline. Need to take it for a spin tomorrow and see how it feels. Hopefully no crazy NVH

Curious to see the weight difference between factory and Optic Armor windshield and rear glass. What thickness did you go with?
Thanks
Ken

I went with the 1/4” thick front windshield. When I spoke to them over the phone, they said this thicker piece would be good enough to not require bracing.

the rear I went with 3/16” which is close to factory glass thickness.
