We have a set with ~1500 miles we are lookng to sell. PM me if you are interested.I’m trying to land another set of OEM carbon wheels.
I've been looking into exactly this issue - I'm quite interested in the adapters. There's a post here about the same issues and adapters fabbed from a frying pan Let me know what you come up with.hood pins are a pain in the ass by the way. since this is a carbon fiber hood it needs hood pins.
So i went with the Quik-latch hood pins, the QL-50 models, which by doing research are somewhat similar to the 2020 Gt500 pins. They have a unique hood pin than the rest because the hood is dimpled and the design is a bit longer inside than the QL 50.
So I ordered the QL 50 and got to looking under the hood, and there is a location on the car that is setup to take these pins. I want to use this location so it looks OEM and i dont want to drill holes in the car if i can avoid it.
this portion of the car has that opening, it is identical to the 2020 gt500 as well.
so I called Quik latch for the adapter for the car, they don’t make it, it is a Ford engineered component.
so I called my local dealership for just the adapter that holds the hood pin.
they want $620 for each of these plates lmao. I’m having some fabbed up locally by my bud who does my tuning and the work on my Hellcat.
if anybody wants some more of these adapters I can have some more made up. They will look clean.
it’s important to know that when talking to Quik latch that the pin from the QL 50 will need to be 2 hundredth of an inch longer to snap into the latch. The gt500 is made longer and that is one of the few differences from the gt500 latch to their other designs.
We just finished making a hood pin striker kit specifically for this. I will PM you some details.hood pins are a pain in the ass by the way. since this is a carbon fiber hood it needs hood pins.
