So if my engine blew and it was on my own dime, I should not fork out 20K on the non-track 5.2 engine and instead fork out the money on the FP350S Crate Engine instead? I'm disappointed to hear there are two types of 5.2 engines for the Voodoo platform.
its the cross plane version used in the fp350s turn key track only cars w/o vins

Before spending north of 20k on a new engine, I'd have one rebuilt. It'll be cheaper and more durable.

Agreed I got a ESP assuming it will cover me for the track for the duration.
If you have a pre 2020 car the exclision doesn't apply to you.

Hang tight folks, an official word is forthcomimg.

I have been going through the supplements none of them say track use in any form is covered. The 2016s say " In the event the vehicle is intended for track use, and the loss of warranty coverage is not a concern, Ford Performance recommends the car is equipped with the Track Pack. "

but that sentence is dropped from the 2017 supplement maybe because all cars got the coolers.

Is there anything in writing saying ford "will" cover track use?

No, but it says that competition and timed events are not covered.

At the end of the day warranties are just like insurance. The companies that furnish them are not in the business of losing money. These stipulations and exclusions exist to give the warrantors an avenue to deny claims if they choose to do so.

Yes I think you are right. If we don't get confirmation I think I'll cancel my extended warranty. We may start to see denials.

Yeah we will probably never receive confirmation. Vagueness and uncertainty in this case again benefit the warrantors. To be fair it can also benefit the consumer sometimes, but that will depend on who has the better lawyers in the end.

Oh, you are going to know one way or the other...... trust me on that.

The only model that I was aware of that covered track use besides the GT350 was the Veloster N. I'm disappointed to hear about the 2020 stipulations.
FWIW - IIRC all 17+ Camaros are covered for track use - if I'm wrong then it's just ZL1s and 1LE pack cars. GM won't cover Vettes tho (cuz the Z06 overheats lol)

Speaking from experience, they cover the z06 for track use. GM just didn’t want to admit the 14-16’s would overheat on track during “normal use under normal conditions.” Thankfully the issue was fixed for the ‘17 MY.

SO this Ford Performance 5.2 cross plane motor......is it plug and play? Different firing order I'd assume, so does that mean a new computer, etc ?

Update:
Still working on a solution. FP has one more avenue to look at.
