Any chance of a DCT? If Ford puts a DCT behind the Voodoo, I'm gonna bite like Jaws did on Quint.
No chance ford already has slim profit margins on these cars compared to the rest of the ford fleet and they won't add transmission options for the 350/500 as it would increase cost and add a lot of other variables into the production mix. Same with the engines they will stay the same until both cars are out of production which for the 350 is most likely after 2020MY and the 500 most likely after 2-3 years like a normal life cycle for the 500.

My understanding is the 2020 GT350 will use the GT500 engine block but have a flat plane crank instead of a CPC like the GT500. The GT500 engine block has improvements that will benefit the GT350.
Same tune you think?

If ford wanted to be awesome, they would put titanium rods in the R car engines.

Raise the price another $1000, people would be trampling over each other with ADMs for a titanium rod voodoo.

I would not mind paying 1000 dollars for Titanium connecting rods. Maybe someone at Ford would agree.
It’s actually an easier (at least in my mind, @BmacIL ) upgrade than most would think.

No emission recert, no power revamp. Although, it’ll rev faster, and make some more hp naturally. It’ll feel awesome.

I'd rather have billet steel rods. Titanium has a short life when raced.

I'd guess the 2020 Shelby GT350 will released late next summer. :like:

Titanium rods would add well over 1000 dollars to the cost if they used them. It’s one of the reasons a 911 GT3 RS costs so much. Same for bikes that use them like some Ducati’s

I think all Porsche GT3 cars have six titanium rods since they could be really tracked like a GT350R. You can't order a Porsche GT3 without prior approval and $220,000.

I also think that I am not looking for a dedicated race car and would be good with billet steel rods in a great Ford Vodoo engine. I hope the car gets 14 Mpg with 93 octane.

I also think the current delay is due to getting the warranty issues fixed on the first batch of cars. The older GT350 had a few issues.

What about the Z06? That didn’t cost a lot and it came with titanium rods..

The only public information currently from Ford is the GT350 will have the GT500 block with FPC, so larger displacement probably over 600hp at the crank.

This really pisses me off though, I literally just bought a 2019, and if I waited a year could have had the more powerful motor. Insane 600hp naturally aspirated beast of a motor.

This could end up changing though. We shall see.

The GT350 isn't getting more displacement and the power isn't going anywhere regardless of block. 526.
