Should I get a 14 Gt500 or a 2020 Mustang Gt with Whipple or Hellion kit?

Having recently sold my Gt350, I am now in the car search once again. I am wanting a car that is fun and can make good reliable hp. Im torn right now between a 2020 401a PP Mustang gt premium with either a gen 5 stage 2 Whipple or Hellion kit

OR

14 GT500 with minimal upgrades ( pulley, tune, headers) and relatively low mileage.

Anyone that has experience with either please share your opinions/experiences.

Whipple GT will gap a 14 GT500 hard if you're just looking for a street racing build. But That isn't really what the GT500 is about. It's more of a collectable limited edition car with fantastic resale value.

My previous car was a 2013 Shelby GT500 and 1.5 years ago, sold it and now have a 2017 Roush RS3.
That is because the Live rear Axel just could not deal with the power in corners, bumpy streets, etc.
The S550 just feels lighter, much better in corners and can put the power down.
The 13 GT550 is Fast, but I think my RS3 is faster, and I went Auto Trans, which is nice.
The 13-14 GT500's are turning into Collector Cars? Maybe, Time will tell, but I have noticed their resale prices are holding right round $50K.

New GT is a better driving car, but I voted for older GT500. Depreciation won't hit badly at all. I think putting a power adder on a new car is a huge waste of money.

I agree, which is why I don't spend money on those either. Power adder on a brand new car is close to that level of tossing money in the bin.

If I had that kind of extra money I'd be looking at a new GT500 instead.
